I just tried to join a SC Hard run and got declined because of my Guild tag.... Noob Squad

Allow me to explain what exactly Noob Squad is about:

Noob Squad is for the Elite noobs. That is every elite player on the server. We all have noob moments, be it once to five times a week/month, and since it can happen to everyone and anyone, ANYONE is (indirectly) a member of Noob Squad. I find it funny that I was denied as if my guild tag was exclaiming me to be an actual NOOB. I'm here because of it, but for everyone else here, I thought you'd like the origin of the guild name

If not too off-topic, I had a huge noob moment the other evening in the Parthilcar Tower Crypt. Climbed up the ladder with the rogue so I could nuke undead from up there. She disabled the first box and the cold trap below was still firing off so I say to myself "ok well that must have been the box for the trap up here" so I pulled the lever. dead me and in a moment, dead rogue. She was very polite about it and I apologized profusely. I think some of the other party members were miffed (even though i joined the group just in time to heal the incapped party leader on the first go round). Oh well, we all noob out occasionally, i suppose.

It's like Saying "I'm A Jerk Some Times" then make a Guild called the Jerks.

Before I joined a guild, I used to use the guild space to have fun with. I made a few one man guilds that weren't designed to assure my PUG brothers and sisters.

And sometimes when I was in a group and one member stood out because they were soooo uber, I would create a one man guild entitled '<Name of Uber Toon> Rocks Big Time'

Not once was I ever declined because of my guild name (although in good taste I got rid of Party Wipe while in a group that wiped four times in STK).

My guess was it was your build 1st then the guild name mebbe.

Don't get me wrong, I love alternative builds, but when you are looking for a caster to bring down the regen of the end boss, I would prolly lean towards waiting for a more pure variety. Now if I've got what I need and the end spot is open I'll accept anybuild and anyguild(cause I don't care to check what guild someones from anyway).

ya well, my bro's build is more out there and mine is a ranger with 2 pal lvls for saves and I got turned down today for several groups, so....ARGO....bite my bag ill solo my toon to 16 and without twink gear still out play you.

I've gone beyond people caring what my build is at this point, and from hearing my brother getting denied from groups, I'm starting to wonder what the "Character/Class Presumptions" are for Argo - Even the guild/word presumptions for Argo are...I realize not everyone reads the forums, but if you're denying someone because a guild says "Noob Squad," then you need to send them a tell and explain that to them or ask if the guild tag reflects the player. I've never seen this much IMMEDIATE player "discrimination/prejudice" on a server. People don't know the name of my lower level alts on Ghallanda, but Noob Squad has no problem finding groups on that server.

My build is insanely out there, and I wanted it to be that way for sake of a challenge on my part (and from personal preference of not wanting to be restricted to one role in a party. Can't stand it). Hell, I could have gone pure Wizard and just started flinging spells off at every mob like 8/10 casters I've seen on the server so far. Granted I haven't seen the higher level players, or any of you guys with twinked out lowbies yet, but I've been able to grasp a picture of what argo's like just from the LFMs I've seen, and what guilds run with who.

As far as SC and Xantilar...the Wizard should never be the one DPS'ing his ass. MM should only be a secondary reason you complete that fight, as the tanks should be the real ones DPSing the giant down (IF they watch their own health bars too).

Nah, if people are denied on Ghallanda, the people I know who have the star usually give them a polite reason why..I'm just trying to back up my bro here, because as the situation was explained to me when I called him, the denials made no sense at all. I've a slight assumption that it was the "Rangers aren't proper tanks" ad nauseum argument, as his build is a ranger tank...We're just trying to find people to group with on the server and get our names out there that we're good players to group with and are finding it very difficult. If ya'll on the forums want to (ingame email/PM) us your low level alts and the time you play to help us out, that'd be awesome.

My low level alt right now is Accounts 5/Bard. On most nights, but not actively leveling him atm. Working on a 10/1 ranja thing meself called Wulverine right now.

As far as Ranger tanks being turned down, I did get almost turned down from a SC group because they had two clerics and were tank-light. I got a tell saying they were looking for a real tank cause they were a bunch of squishies, no offense. I said none taken, but I did tell what my build does and gave my stats. Got accepted into the group and had a very smooth SC run. They weren't being buttheads by questioning my build, they just didn't have the build knowledge to see what a 32 point , twinked, favored enemy giant, dual giant bane weilding, 3 tome eaten, dorf can do.

Hehe, on Arggo all my characters save 1 are Warforged, my 1 other is a Drow Rogue I made named Yesille. Since all my other charcaters are in The Mithril and Iron Hand my fleshie is ina 1 character guild named "I don't need no stinkin guild" I get a lot of comments on it

It's a full on joke on all Elitists and power gamers, as no matter how much you play, your noob moments show/pop up when you least expect them to. No matter who it is, you will have a noob moment!

Honestly I wouldn't sweat it man, I switched to Arggo a few months ago, you will meet all kinda of different people here, but I have met quite a few cool ones, and then there's Ramz
