Caster challenge...

ok so I saw a melee challenge and doesnt seem too hard for a caster (if you want to flame sure go ahead but then Ill cream your times to prove it)

Heres the challenge casters!

Coalensce Chamber | Solo
Lowest time wins.

Id like to say only one recall out but honestly if you recall out more than once then your probably going too slow. if you note I didnt exit the quest once

Heres my current best time (and this is after they "fixed" it)

I know it can be done faster I screwed up a few times Im feeling about 25 min myself

your right I did loot but uh when the guy dies the time stops? anyway why I ddoor'd was I charmed some guys that were just about to come off charm so speed trumped bragging

but I dont look at my loot except at the vendor sooo your talking more like 30 seconds.. next time I hit ransack Ill burn through grabbing just keys usually I cant pass up that first key for the extra loot.

Can you pick a quest that is actually fun to do?

so I should of picked an easier quest? I like coalensce cause it is fun to do.
It takes strategy patience timing and skill to get a run nice and low like that.
Took a whole bunch of runs to learn how to do it then how to lean the time down.
if you don't want to spend the time doing it np not asking you to do it.
I'm putting it out as a challenge to those who like to be challenged not necessarily easy/fun to do?
I wanted to do something hard on purpose to make a point if you think you got your solo wizzy build down
and want a challenge step up you wont get much more difficult than this. You will die you will curse the quest
and then youll make it. or you can say its not fun Im not gonna do it. up to you I made my run and Ill keep trying
to get lower.

you can solo this without jump / haste and you can do it decent not fast but decently.
Only 2 or 3 spots where I believe the pathing is jacked and has the possibility of making you fall and if you don't actually try to jump it makes a huge difference.

anyway lets see some times btw my first solo time was about an hr lmao and ive had many funny screwed up things happen to me since.

but for 4 chests when your bored of the shroud and no ones doing anything cant beat the rush.

meh, aside from a lot of super annoying jumping around, the quest is all about just running from mobs.


If you see kiting mobs around a bit to open some gates as hard core action, more power to you.

I just don't see it as a "challenge".

Is there a quest that can be solo'd (possible as in the mechanics of the quest allow it: ie. no 2 man switches) that has not yet been by a caster?

i seriously doubt it.

and coalecence chamber is fun! it's one of my favorite quests in a long time. i love a good zerg where ppl are falling and dying all over the place and i can just kinda laugh.

and if you look I did mine without recalling once. which means 27 min I could of used the shrine 2x to achieve that result max.
so you have to conserve mana on top of everything else which is a good skill for any caster. if your a sorc Im sure its no problem
but a wizard it was a little tricky to do.

I love how people are downing this ... I never said I was the first or the last just wanted to toss up a challenge

Running with the devils would be a good caster solo challenge I would think, on elite at least. I personally hate the chamber, but maybe thats cause my casters are not WF :P

I am not getting uptight at all. I just hate the quest, it is boring and my PC + Jumping = aggrevation. But whatever, it is obvious that other people enjoy it. I like Devils.

Well, here is 22 minutes on normal:



In that amount of time you can only use the shrine once due to how long it takes to get to the shrine and how long of a trip it is from the shrine to Khemko.

Running with the devils would be a good caster solo challenge I would think, on elite at least.

That is definitely a tricky quest to solo in certain spots. So far I haven't been able to do it on elite without needing more SP than the two shrines in the quest provide.

I enjoyed Coal chamber. very chaotic mad dash for the end.


Sadly Ive never seen the last room or the boss as Ive fallen off the darn ledges so many times that by the time im on the right track to getting back with the group........ its over .


I could stay and just kill stuff for fun but would get nothing out of it but a higher repair bill.

Well, here is 22 minutes on normal:

very nice! I was betting a sorc would beat the time the extra 500 sp is killing me atm I think I can get down in that time range
I just have to figure out a few things different than what I did with the 27 min but I think I can cut 3-4 minutes minimum and
possibly a few more if I manage to lean down some more sp.

goal is to get to the last fight (key) with no shrine then hit up khem with full sp.

again awesome job thats a good time to beat

How about a real challenge... make a lvl 1 caster. Run Proof is in the Poison.
