    Default [Developers]Monk Ki bar programming

    Though the latest video demo performed by Kate Paiz was great one thing greatly concerned me.

    The Ki bar is where the sp bar normally is.

    And the problem with that is multiclassing. Specifically with classes that grant spell points and as far as I can tell it would be a nightmare to have both the ki bar and sp bar in the exact same place and I assume a ton of bugs will emerge.

    Also don't forget the party/raid group icons in the upper left corner of the screen (for most people) should also be altered to accomediate for the monk ki bar or else once again you'll run into a huge problem.

    So please... please don't leave things the way they are.

    While I share your concerns, I think the issue is SO obvious that I think even Turbine will see it before it's too late

    Same as you, the first thing I thought of when I saw the Ki bar was multiclassing... but I guess I'll just have to wait and see how they're implementing it.

    Who's to say they didn't specifically remove the ability to multiclass monks? The devs did say monks were delayed so much due to balancing issues. Well maybe they deemed MC monks too powerful and decided keeping things pure-class was the only way to balance it.

    IF you watch the video she specifically said you can MC monks subject to alignment restrictions.

    I'm sure you'll just have an SP bar, AND a Chi Bar.

    And this IS something I could live with, IF in fact this is how it is to work.

    But all speculation still on how Monks are to be in DDO, beyond the small tidbits we have at the moment.
