    Default Raid Explorers?

    Hi,

    Here's an idea.
Why not make the explorer area's raid explorer areas?
Turbine can up the ante in quests (norm, hard, elite), they could make explorer area's elite with raid parties, no?

Think it might be a good addition to the game....

I would like to see this, but it seems it would be a hassle to implement. Many of these area's are required to get to other non-raid quest. Seems you would have to turn the explorer's into a quest like instance (much like the entrance to VoN3). I like the idea but think it would need a more creative implementation system than we currently have

They wouldn't have to change things up, would they?

I mean you wouldn't be able to enter the quests in the raid party, so what would need to be changed?

Raiding the Vale or the Orchard would, to me, be alotta fun.

But like I said I see your point.

I can't tell you how many times my guild and I have said, something along the lines of what your are posting.

I would certainly like to see the lower explorer areas revamped to higher levels. most people I know do not utilize them as there is tons of content that will quickly outlevel you from the xp in the lower level areas. I have never actually set foot in Searing Heights. Tangleroot on up seems to be utilized with the exception of the House K one - it seems to be used by a small population.

    I agree with that part...

but making them elite, would either keep 1-6 man parties from reaching their destinations

    or

mean you have to implement a level selector (like at the begining of each quest) and that turns it into a quest more or less.

I'm not disagreeing with you, I just don't know of how to implement it to be challenging to a raid, doable by a a standard group, transversable by a solo, duo group, and not turn it into a "quest".

I would like to see it though.

I agree, to an extent. If the Raid (Twillight Forge and Shroud) is accessed through a wilderness area (caverns and Vale, respectively), then that specific Wilderness Area should be converted to a 12-man zone. And, of course, if they wanted to introduce new 12-man wilderness zones in the future, that'd be great fun! But, I'm just not seeing any reasons to convert other existing areas at this time.
