Intimidate Skill Watermark??

Other than the crazy 56 for the Pit Fiend on Elite, what is a decent Intim to nail 90% of the stuff in game atm (that can be initimidated)?

Right now I am at: (granted, this is with Evasion, elite level rogue skills,UMD, 61 AC unbuffed and Very Good DPS)

I could take SF: Intim for something but not sure if 42 is make or break.

The Reaver on Elite is a 42-44. I fya hit that, your gonna do fine in every quest until ya get to the Pit fiend on Elite. (Dont forget abotu the -4 SIze Penalty if your a Halfling/Facing a Giant TYpe)

I think hlings get -8 vs. Reaver correct? as a human I should get a -4?

Hmm, I make take SF: Intim (until later levels where I can get more ranks) to counter the size mod's Giant classes have. That way I would be at 38 vs. Giants and 42 vs. the rest.

If a giant stomps, do hlings get -8 to their save?

Curious because I have a hling monk that I have been debating switching over to WF.

The Reaver on Elite is a 42-44.

You need a +50 (unmodified) to never fail the Reaver on a 1.

Are you sure? I tank the Reaver quite often on Kilgan.. Hes only Level 14 and I intimidate him over 50%. I think I'm at +33 against him on Intim right now (My +15 IntimItem is L15 so Still uning a +10) and taking SF:Intim at l15 as well.

I could of Sworn I've seen Success with a 10+33. If he was a 50 Intim Id have to roll a 17 and I'm sure I'm not near that lucky withmy Rolls.

I think so. I know Riott says hes around a 56 so that size mod has to hurt.

Yeah, the DC is 51. So, 50+1, success!!

Yes, you got -8 versus him. So, it's +54 to get him all the time, for a DC of 55.

It will be enough, pretty sure of that... but not 100%.

Halflings get the -4 size penalty against every monster, even kobolds. In effect, it's a flat -4 racial skill penalty.

Oh and be thankful that when phase 5 Arraetrikos uses his Giant Growth power, he doesn't get the additional -4 intimidate penalty his new size is entitled to.

Okay, thanks all. Basically I am going to dump nimble fingers (will put me at 59DD / 50 OL) for SF:Intim and grab Bullheaded for my level 16 feat.

I haven't figured out how all the Greensteel stuff works, but you can get more from those too with the Exceptional Charisma (+3 Charisma, so +1 or +2 Intimidate?) and Exceptional Charisma Skills (+6?) enchantments.

Yeah, was just thinking it'd be something to put on for the high watermark fights, but you probably have higher green steel priorities.

I went +5 will save (P) and +2 cha skills (wasted 50sp) .. and the true res clicky for my TN fighter who will never have any other way of bringing folks up

Testing as we Speak, Trying to get a caster to help Control Eles. I bought a set of Fearsome Full Plate, but the eles seem to be Immune for some reason......

My Intim is sitting at 37 Unbuffed right now and I'm Getting a +29 Check agaisnt the reaver.... Thats rather odd I think... Giant Vs. Dwarf should only be -4 shouldnt it?

EDIT: OK, Now i see where the Confusion is..... I said 42-44 because thats what >I< have to roll after modifiers are taken into consideration.... Cow saw my Testing LFG and we figured out that me and borror are actually sayig the same thing, just hes Premodifier, i'm Post-Modifier.

Reavers Intimidate failure is actualy a 43, but since Dwarves are rolling at -8 size penalty, we need a 50 in order to succeed every time. hope that clears it up. I didnt think i was nuts....
