this skin is good, but the map is the problem, I can't see the map clearly, especially for now, maps have warfog effect.
If the map will no longer transparency. I will say this skin is the best in the world!

I love it too...but it totally wrecks my map...all WHITE on small map.....player cursor off screen..etc

anymore feedback from this guy. The work was incredible, I still don't want to try and change mine for fear of it getting all jacked up. But, it would also help if I had an internet connection at home, so I could log in.
I'd really like to see Turbine give a bit more support to this aspect.

I agree, and I'd like to see more skins, dl skins and try to use them is also a kind of enjoyful xp for me.

Does a skin have any benifits other than to change the look?

If you have not seen the work this person did with Red Black, you are missing out. Others did nice work as well, some of it great. But, none of them make the same impact as Lite_Red. There are a few tweaks I would make also. Like incorperating that dreamcatcher some one came up with(Great one!).
Anyhoo, Maybe you will have better luck than the quiet few.=)

I guess I coulda paid more attention to the fact you have more posts, etc...
Anyhoo, good luck! If it all goes well let us know, if you look through all the options you can see lots of inspiration. There has been some good info put down by other folks to update and configure the settings. I just see that even after the great instructions, and guidance people still had/have issues.
I mean I just spent three days isolating some virus, I got for using IE for the first time in years.I thought for half a second, IE has been trying lately, it's gotten updated. Bang, within an hour of setting the bookmarks I wanted. Virtualmonde virus. AVG finally caught the scoundrel, and dismantled it, with some help from Search and Destroy. Point is, 3 days, three days I had to spend offline, because of some silly whim. I don't need to go finding more frustration, ty. =)

Does anyone know the filename(s) for the whatever is causing the red semi-transparent box to appear over the map? Currently, I cannot read the map with Lite_Red_Black enabled. Otherwise, I think the UI is great. That's why I'd like the filename(s) so that I might be able to remove that box to make the map legible for me.

This appears to be a great skin to use, except the part where map reading is concerned.

Is this still a factor in deciding to use it or not?

To the person that posted above me, perhaps the map transparency problem is tied to the fact that all windows have the transparent effect on them, and removing that aspect will disable transparency on all windows?
