Default Auto attack when I select targets

For some reason when ever I select a target on my new pc auto attack always starts up immediately. I have been all over the options and I can't seem to find anything that is checked unless there is something I am not aware of. How can I turn this off or is this something that requires another approach to fix?

    To start simple:
    is your auto attack on?
go to your character sheet, drag the auto attack icon (on the feats tab) to your toolbar and make sure it is not active.

You see this is the problem, it's off but it turns on by it self when ever I target an enemy. I put the feat in one of my quick launch bars so I can see what it's doing more easily but I can't seem to make it stop doing this.

Maybe the key config is changed so what you think is just select is now select/interact/attack so auto attacks go to key config and check.

I am guessing but that would explain the behaviour, and you did just install so maybe missed fixing a default setting.

Good luck fixing it if not.

You aren't double-clicking to select targets, are you? Double-clicking a target turns on auto-attack. Also, I had trouble with one mouse where many times a single click would register as a double-click. Unfortunately, that was a hardware problem.
