Thrann, try this, found it in knowledge base:

"The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005). Click on OK to terminate the application.

It sounds like a file has become corrupt in your DDO installation.

Please go to Control Panel > Add Remove programs and remove DDO.

After the game has been uninstalled, open My Computer and navigate to the directory DDO is installed into and delete it. By default it is installed into C:\Program Files\Turbine\Dungeons & Dragons Online - Stormreach.

Once it has been deleted, empty your recycle bin, reboot your computer, and install DDO again.

You can download a new updated copy of the DDO client HERE."

Thrann, do you have .NET 1.1 installed? If not, install it and then try again. NOTE: You *must* have 1.1 installed regardless of any other version you have installed. There's no need to uninstall any other .NET version.

Cool. Glad you got it working. Error code C0000135 is typically a problem with .NET not being installed properly or being corrupt. MS, for some stupid but not surprising reason doesn't have it in the MSDN. It's probably that C0000135 is not specifically related to .NET not being there or being bad.
