Ren's Mentoring Program Re-Dux

Over on Thelanis we've started a Mentoring Program where you, the experienced player, can help out someone new to the game. It was started by Renegade66 and has grown to include other servers. If you are interested in working with someone new, please send me a PM and I will add you to the list for Argonnessen. If you have a particluar class you like working with or some other speciality such as role-playing, please include that so I can match you up with the appropriate person.

Once I have a few names of mentors, I'll start posting in the Newbie Harbor etc.

I'll throw my hat in the ring on this too. My favorite thing to do is run around the Harbor and assist. Count Thet Darkhand (my Harbormaster) available to escort and teach the new Souls of Stormreach.

Although I can see why it might be considered lacking Sticky quality, that can be changed with a few links to the proper posts in the New Players and Player to Player Forums as the hosting links for this post. It has the merit for a Sticky providing the information is processed adequately and organized at the host-post link.

In my unofficial opinion, this kind of work brings new players to Argonnessen to test their mettle against our community. It would be in our best interest to have new players emerge from another's generosity in guiding these new souls.

I've not had many requests visa vie this program. Infact, none. I still actively search and deploy to the Harbor and find players, but I'm not finding any are redirected by the Mentoring Program to anyone I know.

Has anyone successfully had new players contact them for assistance in learning their class throughout the beginning stages of the game? I'm just wondering if the program is working at all for Argonnessen - I keep meeting new players all the time, but not through this referral program.
