    Default Its that time again!

Time to reopen the book on High levels completing low level explorer zone quests. Ye my lvl 16 wizard wants to destroy 400 kobolds to complete the waterworks. Yes my lvl 16 sorcerer wants to obliterate 750 SH drow with one (or maybe 2) firewalls for completion. No we dont care about exp (though where's the harm considering its 10x faster to get exp questing level appropriate quests than doing lowbie explorer zones).

Give us this ability devs, or your puppy/kitten/fuzzy turtle gets it!

Default There needs to be a baby place.

a low level area where you'll find baby ogers, hobgoblins and giants.

so you want to kill hundreds of K's aye. yes i agree there needs to be a larger kobold quest. how about the respon rate set to lvl 16 capasity.
you will have kobold comming out of your ears, by the hundreds all at once. is that what you want.

I want the fighters, palaidens, barbs, rogues to be able to throw those fire bombs like the kobolds.

    Not even close Kiel

What I want is for my lvl 16 characters to be able to go into explorer zones like Searing heights, Menechtarun desert, Sorrowdusk island, etc, and get completion for the slayer, explorer and rares quests above the level that they are set at currently (lvl 2-7 for searing heights for example). This way i can get the satisfaction of completing the quests in my log and can have some no-risk fun between quests working towards a goal. Right now I can go there and kill stuff, but it won't advance my slayer count, so theres no point.

I agree. I am one of those people who likes to do every quest in the game, so it is a bit of a bummer to not be able to go back and do the new lower level slayers on my capped character.

Except the problem is when you take your level 16 sorcerer into Tanglefoot with a bunch of level 4 players in the party.

They'd still get credit for the kills, get a free tour of all of the explorer points, and basically free xp.

In order to do that they'd have to enact some sort of power leveling equivalent that simply doesn't exist. The Explorer/Slayer areas are a different mechanic, and it's just not a realistic request.

No they do not, the minute you take a character too high for the area into such places and kill anything you get the - A member in the party is too high for this area - message. No kills are added to the lower levels slayer and no xp is gained by anyone.

Which is what he said. Now nobody gets credit. In the proposed change only a solo (?) higher level would get it?

So the changes require some not-insignificant developer time. So that people can check meaningless (maybe not for them, I understand) boxes in their quest log.

checking boxes is what games are about. The boxes to check are just sometimes camouflaged. Most people still need to get the "meaningless" box --Aquired: W/P Rapier-- checked off.

As for the change, they could make it so that only a party of all higher levels get credit (but no exp), or solo. I cant think of many builds that cant solo all the explorer areas once they get over the max level. Either would suit me just fine.
