Kinda New...

I’m new/not so new to the game. Been playing a few months. :/ and don’t know that many people. I have met a lot of really cool people but after the quest is over we all seam to part ways and never contact each other again. I always tell people to hit me up if they ever need a member or rogue.

I am a lvl 12 rogue and have done most all the house quests as far as I can tell. I am trying to get some Giant Hold quests done but I can’t seam to find many groups willing to let a "Giant Hold noob" rogue run with them in GH.

So this is a 2 part question.

1. Can anyone recommend a good friendly guild? I don’t care about size. I would prefer a smaller more close nit guild. I just want a group of people who are cool friendly, silly and can separate RL form the game and have fun no matter how bad a quest goes. I’m really chill. I log on to game socialize and have fun.

2. Any one willing to help a rogue in the Giant Hold?

I ran a small guild (from 3 to 6 players regularly playing) for over a year, so I really relied on PUGs and my Friends list. I would tick decent people wjo were fun to run with on my list, make note of their guild and then make it a point to run with those people when I could. I developed a small network of people in guilds that I could call on and they, in turn, could call on me. It worked out pretty well. As far as looking for a guild, I would look at the guilds of the people you like running with and let them know you are hunting for a home. Many guilds may not actively recruit, but they will take another who fits in without a thought. It may take some runs with them to see if you mesh, but it would be well worth it.

As for the 'look me up anytime' thing, the Friends list is too limited in spaces, so I know that I can't possibly put everyone I want to on mine. i would suspect others have the same problem.

PS The best way to get a rogue into quests is by knowing people, especially in guilds where they will throw 5 people together and let you be #6. Before joing GSI, I ran many quests with 5 of them and me (or 11 and me on raids). Friends are the best thing about this game!

I can always use a Rogue in GH. If you see my toons Sissee or Chlem on, send a tell. If I have room you are welcome to join. Be aware that both Crucible and Madstone can be frustrating (Madstone for me), and sometimes your role might be...stand there and do this..lol.

For runs like PoP, Maze, Cry and a couple others you will be a great asset. just make sure that your pick locks, search and disable traps is a good as possible... have +10 items if possible... don't spend a fortune... you should get them for free or cheaply if you need them... hell, I give them away when I find em.. most folkes do.

Anyhow... I'll give a hand if possible.

Sorry, but I can't recommend a Guild... I'm not sure who is recruiting. There are many fine guilds out there.

You sound like you would fit in well with Umber Hulks. We are a casual guild, medium sized and our motto is "we understand life agro". So we like playing but we don't put any expectations on our members other than to be courteous and helpfull to one another out of mutual respect.

You can check out our web site in my signature if you like or just look for our members in the who list. Folks are free to try out the guild and stay or leave as they like without any hassle. Friends are freinds no matter what guild they belong to.

We can duo some stuff on Normal, best way to learn the quests IMO is in a small group.
