Default Anyone run DDO on a Dual Boot Intel iMac?

My daughter has an iMac PowerPC machine. But recently she's been showing a lot of interest in playing DDO, after watching me all the time on it. A friend of mine suggested that it might run ok on a dual boot Intel iMac running Windows XP, so before I lay down the cash on this I'd like to know if anyone has run it before on this?

    All feedback is greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much for such a fast reply!

That's great news. Anything special you had to do to install it on that rig? What sort of video card does your MacBook Pro have?

    Default Help!

How were you able to get it to run on your Mac? I get the below error:

Game Error [127] The game encountered a fatal Windows API issue while attempting to start.

Try rebooting your machine and starting the game again. [127]

Nope, nothing special. Just had to get a copy of XP, and run bootcamp, and follow the instructions. Just installed DDO on the windows side, no problems.

Sorry, wish I could help....no idea why you're getting that error. Have you tried a complete removal and reinstall of DDO on XP?

Or this thread on LOTRO forums might help, seems like same problem happened. Maybe try this suggestion?

Thanks for the quick response! Yep, I tried a reinstall, tried using the download instead of my disks, and also tried using that edit of the .ini file. Still no luck!

I used bootcamp to dual-boot a MacPro with Vista x64 and run DDO there no problems. Bootcamp is very intuitive and pretty easy to run. Windows does not work if you're using a Mac RAID setup...it needs to be on a single drive for Windows to function correctly.

I'm using a single drive, just partitioned, no RAID. One new thing I did notice, I just did a reinstall from the downloaded files for Stormreach, and it did not created a folder in My Documents with default settings... was this file moved somewhere else? I had deleted the file and folder before the install, because I noticed that it left the files there from my previous (disk) install. Or is there a rebuild option? I tried doing a repair and reset from the launcher options menu, but neither created the folder or file.
