Question on Religion

So I've been gone for a year, and there are all new things for clerics to play with. Namely, what religion to follow. The later second tier religion enhancements are what I'm wondering about, mostly. Vulkoor's Avatar... so summon monster, yes? Alright, cool. Is it a worthwhile Monster though? Or does it get pwned so fast you wonder why you bothered? And since it's only a level 6 Enh, does it stay the same, or does it get better, so it can keep up in later levels?

I think they are class and race based not religion based.
