People use half plate?

I used it on my old retired cleric "BugleMugle Puckermucker" the self-proclaimed, and often backed up by popular opinion, ugliest toon on the server! In making this toon I had my friends and guild-mates send me any and all of the ugliest plates they could find and it just so happened to turn out to be a half-plate! His plate made him look like he was a spy that rolled into a halfling circus, beat the midget clown at the door to death and stole his costume, only to squeeze his chubby dwarven a-- into it as a disguise..Best of all! It had a P O O P SHOOT! (You know the flap on the behind located where the only possible use would be for one to relieve themself)

Best armor ever!

As a side note....who decided to censor the word P O O P in the word filter?

I've pulled at least +3 Mith within the last 90 days, and watching the AH on Thelanis I see +5 mith half float by every so often.

I have a suit of +2 mithral Half Plate... it is purple.. spikes up on one side of the shoulder armor.. looted it eons ago and I use it for my low level characters.. my cleric and barbarian both wore it.. looks evillllllllll

Lately it seems we have to beg. I remember how exciting it was when they released a patch adding new decals for armor and weapons to the game. But that was almost 2 years ago. Back then I realy had hoped it would be a promiment re-occurance.

I mean what do we have to do to get some good looking docents around here?

DDO is a great game but it is so darn fugly when it comes to character customization.

I mean, ok, great you copied everything out of the players handbook. Now use some imagination for pete's sake!

I still stand firm by my plead: Make every uniqe/named/rare item in the game have a unique/named/rare look.

Not everyone plays in 800x600 with all the graphics on low. Some of us ENJOY eye candy. If I'm shredding through hordes of monsters I don't want to be fargin pink!

But it adds insult to injury.

I spent about 40k plat on various suits of Chail MAIL, and Half-plate, and managed to find a few that are decent, so thanks to those that suggested Chain mail as also having the dress version.

The Chaim Mail versions have a lot better mods as well, and even a rare! Silken Mail looks good, and I am hoping to get a suit of that eventually.

I still hold by my statement that Full Plate is way more prevalent in this game than it should, and maybe swing the balance back just a tad, to half-plate on the treasure tables.

Also, maybe give the Chain Mail that is a dress version, a different graphic, than the Chain mail that has legs. With half-plate you can tell which is which, before you buy, but with Chain mail, you cant.

I'm still offering full value for any suits of Chain Mail, or Half-Plate of the dress type version, but it has to be minimum level 8 or higher please.

Try finding +4 or +5 mith BP that doesn't look like something out of Robin Hood : Men in Tights.

I can say with great assurance that my Bard Alran on Thelanis has the worst looking +5 Mithral BP ever. Its purple and makes the arse look huge. Looks like a clown suit.

Heh I actually pulled a set of +5 mithral Half plate several months ago... It is currently on my fighter, just lookin pretty. Only set I have ever heard of, so I have kept it as merely an oddity.

if you are on Khyber, and If it is a dress version, I am willing to trade you +3 Mithral Full Plate for it

A decent looking suit of Half-Plate armor?

I have been scouring the armor shops and the Auction house, spamming guild chat, and even party chat now, on the off-chance someone will find a decent-looking (and nice mods) suit of half plate!

After two weeks of buying every suit out there, I managed to find a +3 Half-plate of light fortification.

Not once have I seen one (ONE) set of Mithral half-plate, let alone any other mods like fearsome, fire guard, mod/heavy fort. or deathblock.

PLEASE DEVS:

Allow more suits of Half-plate (the dress-like kind, that looks like the kundarak delving suit) to drop, with decent stats!

Anyone on Khyber Server: if you find a suit of half-plate looking like a dress (only half-plate drops like this) send Saaren an in-game d-mail, and I'll pay you the value of the armor, more if it has better mods. (fearsome, deathblock, mithral, etc.) ml:8 please

the game makers do NOT want you to be useing dropped armor anymore. your suppose to be depedant on the auctions free market. what ever is popular is what you have to buy/use. if you just dont like it, you most go do the giant hold for the next 5 months trying to get scales. if you can not run around in the GH's just wait. vale will have Green Steel armor sooner or later.

I hear what you are saying, but if you look here:

I go to the AH and armor vendor all the time, and see many suits of half plate, with not nearly as many options as full plate. 99% of the half-plate that drops is the legged version, not the dress version, so that leaves me very little choice.

For everyone that is wondering why everyone is waltzing around in full plate, this is why.

I hope they reconsider, or allow other ways to get this type of armor.

So, as you can see here, I do utilize the vendors, the AH, and adventure for it myself, and there simply isn't as many options for half-plate, as there are for full plate.

I wish that we could pay an outrageous amount of plat and design our own armor, complete with colors and styles, just like NWN, but I guess that won't happen for a while.

Sorry Mouse, it is not a dress version. But it is a pretty blue color. LOL
