    Default Many, Many Problems with Digital Download

    As the Title said, I am having some serious problems with the digital download of DDO. Here is a step by step outline of what I did and problems I have encountered.

    1. Signed up for Trial - Played through the whole trial
    2. Bought the Digital Download - Activated my Product Key
    3. Tried logging into the game but it still showed me as having an expired trial subscription even though my account page on Turbine shows it as active (although it does say trial subscription for some reason) and has active billing plans.
    4. Tried to use findmyorder.com to redownload the game and found that an error screen prevented me from doing so.

    I am currently stuck at step four and have no idea what I should do. Any help that players or officials might give me would be greatly Appreciated.

    Your subscription will still show as "Trial/Guest" until your first payment has been made and you are officially in your "billing plan" period. This is normal.

    Does that explain why it shows it as expired and makes me unable to log in to the game? If so I really do not understand Turbines billing methods.

    Sorry for the late response...forgot to watch thread in all my attempts to fix this (which included me buying ANOTHER digital download in an attempt to redownload.) I am getting quite frustrated seeing as I have already spent $15 more than I should have to get the game working.

    As always I appreciate any help I can get.

    *EDIT* As an added note, I also had a problem where when the digital download worked on another computer it only had bin files, an ifi file, but missing a setup file.

    Unfortunately I cannot help you with the account issue, but are you still having a download issue as well?

    I'm having the same issue. Downloaded the trial version a long time ago, paid 14.99 to activated the account and all it shows is expired trial when I try to log in. If I go to my account page it says my account is active and I'm on the billing cycle -- I also received an email saying I should be able to log in and play. Not sure where to go with this one.

    Just wanted to say I was impatient, it just took an hour or so to activate my account (which it said it might when I registered but the email confused me I guess). Everything seems fine right now.

    Hello there Altumus. I have finally downloaded the files to an alternate computer and put them on a flash drive. I brought the flash drive to my main computer and am right now installing the game. I will hopefully see if any files are corrupt or if I have problems. Because I do not have access to the game I do not know if my account issue is fixed. Do you have any suggestions on where I should go if the problem with my account persists when my installation process is over?

    *EDIT* I have succesfully installed DDO, but while updating I am going through a whopping 10793 files to update. Never have I had this many. Might I ask why there are so many? I can only assume it is the marketplace...
