Hotbars Getting Borked by the Lag Monster

Anyone else have this happen?

You're merrily running along in your quest when a little lag spike hits. You get over the spike and go merrily on your way. A few seconds later you try to switch weapons or cast something from your first hot bar by clicking, say, the number 2 - only to find that the focus of your first hot bar has switched to your number 10 hot bar and you just did something you didn't really intend. Try as you might, you cannot click or scroll or do anything to get the focus back onto the first hotbar. The only fix seems to be logging out/in - a solution which often kicks you out of the quest. Sometimes I just give up and drag all my first bar icons up to my number 10 bar and just keep going.

I'm running Vista. Anyone else have this happening on Vista or on another OS? Any other solutions besides cycling the login?

Hmmm, I've had similar things happen when I accidentally move my hand and then hit the minus key and then it switches a hotbar. I've also accidentally hit the up down hotbar scroll buttons and changed them, but I haven't experienced the exact scenario you're describing. It it possible that you mash keys during lag. I find myself subconsciously hammering keys when I get a lag spike.

I've had a few cases where I start mashing keys and my hotbars get all messed up during lag. Seems to happen in the middle of a Reaver raid while playing my cleric in most cases. They simply don't want me to get a Cloudburst on my cleric so "THEY" try to wipe the party by handicapping me. It's a conspiracy and they're after you now.

I run into the same problem as zyp all the time. Seems to happen mostly when I'm playing my monk (and the most annoying). Only way I know to fix it is to relog. I haven't figured out what's causing it yet...could be I'm hitting a combination of buttons that's switching it to another hotbar, idk.

I would love to get feedback on this since as a monk if my hotbars get screwed, then I have to mouse click everything and that's just not desirable.
