    Default Gary Gygax, RIP

    Dear Friends,

    A gamer friend of mine emailed me that Gary Gygax, creator of D&D, passed away in his home about an hour ago.

    Wikipedia is reporting that he died today as well.

    Farewell to a creative imagination and the Master DM!

    I will pour a libation in his honor.

    It certainly seems true. Troll Lord Games published a number of his games recently. Steve (from TLG) and Gary Gygax were friends, apparently.

    It is very sad news. I think running Delera's is a good start (as far as fan tributes go)...I remember what Turbine did in AC1 when Douglas Adams died, so I'm sure they'll come up with some very fitting way to commemorate Gary Gygax's passing.

    Has anyone found confirmation yet? Apart from wikipedia (which isn't really confirmation of anything), I still can't find squat.

    A good friend of mine freelanced with TSR as an artist for years and had some good stories to tell about the TSR crew. Things changed when it went west and he still did work for them, but he said not nearly as much fun as he had with the Geneva crew....

    I recommend we all make Delera runs tonight naked with just muckbanes.... and maybe the little water breathing bubbles....
