Green Steel Plans

Bored at work, was wondering what you guys are gonna craft with the green steel items.

I have my P-E-E/P-E-E/P-E-E goggles (wiz VI, true res, +50 +100 sp) up to tier 2, and I recently crafted a green steel dagger that I'm planning on taking A-E-E/A-E-E/A-E-E for +9 to charisma, and the air guard effect. I plan on mainhanding the dagger (I chose a dagger for looks, only) and offhanding skyver as I meander about to maximize SP, and I'll use the green steel dagger for casting instakills, etc.

I will swap to superior potency vi for nuking when massive charisma won't be quite as useful.

Next plan is for some kind of gloves, not sure what kind yet. I'll have to get an essence of cleansing before I make them.

Goggles then dagger route as well. Although Sonyaaa has the longsword and it does look cool so maybe ill do the cha 9 on that. Next i would get the poison/disease/deathblock/blah blah on a bracer. Disruption guard AND Slay living Guard = NICE!

unfortunately you wouldn't be able to wear them both at the same time unless you get one of those mystical magical mythical cleansing items.

I'm kindof upset atm that there's no heavy fort option appearing yet in the crafting. I am fully prepared to make something sweet and give up some HP by taking off minos legens, if I can keep heavy fort on my helm. bleh.

I have created a few items and started upgrading some goggles, and I just cannot get into it at all. For the first time playing DDO I feel like I can see the carrot on the stick in front of me, and you know what? It doesn't look very appetizing. I mean, I like most of mod 6, but I can't get into the "build your own raid item" thing at all.

So, I have canceled my account. It runs out after the big event is over, so I still get to enjoy the 2 year anniversary celebration. I'll probably re-up with mod 7 or 8 if I am not deep into another game by then.

I'll probably go with Triple Air goggles for the SP/Cha skills. Not entirely sure what I wanna do after that, +9 Charisma Khopesh offhand or something maybe =-p

I am surprised to see a post like this. The equipment pos/pos/pos item alone is amazing and the ability to get cha 9 on a weapon as well. Its amazing stuff. yes, it takes time to get the items needed but what a boon! Not to mention the quality of the loot dropping from vale end rewards.

I wish you the best of luck because imo this is as good as it gets.

I see what he's saying. It's pretty tedious crafting those items and they are certainly uber stuff, but the lack of any named loot dropping is kind of depressing. Let me preface this by saying, I don't consider anything used in crafting as "named loot". Also as far as I know there is no new, named loot in mod6. I may be wrong but thats the impression I am under.

The beauty of named drops is that if you only play 2 hours one night a week, you can get a coveted item. This is completely random as treasure should be. I think every chest in all the Vale quests should have a named item. I don't even care if they are great. Look at Ghosts of Perdition, that thing suuu uuuucks. I hate it and I still run it, I want those bracers. That fact of matter is that casual players will never have a fully upgraded greensteel item, just too much work. By never I mean it would take months if your only playing once or twice a week.

I don't care for all the paralyzers and vorpals dropping and I don't give a Kobolds Arse if they raise the "loot table" I think the loot level is perfectly fine. I like named items because they are sometimes (better in my opinion) sprinkled with good and negative effects, reaver ring and such. This helps the game play and I love it. I will run the Raids previous to this one forever, because the named items are kick!

Bring back the named items and do away with the Re-Flaggin Fiasco, Vons DQ pre-reqs ruin the game for me and make me avoid those raids, which I really like because they are fun.

Anyhoo, love the game good ridance to people who play other games. I have found the grass is to not greener, actually they have no grass. They are grassless. No game measures up. The game that will not be named is a sugar coated hunk of SH*T.

Why the wizardry 6, and the skyver?
You could have, for example, gone P-E-M, still had the positive line, picked up 10 hp, and a +1 to con skills.

I already made a hitpoint bracer. The real reason i made it was for the panacea clicky so i can remove feeble mind when im soloing:P...but the crushing wave guard isnt bad...it kils bats hah

Ill be making a spell point item once we see more special 3rd tier combines effects. Since wizardry 6 seems like a waste of an upgrade slot It gives me the option of putting a variety of things on at the first altar...whatever leads to the best 3rd altar upgrade.

I went helm for wiz VI to second tier not sure I want to spend the time going to third tier but maybe. Too many other characters to go for another item on my sorc unless I can play two characters from the same account at once oh and clone myself to do it.

In hindsight, I am not exceedingly upset about crafting the goggles with wiz vi even though i have a skiver. I got +1 stackable UMD out of the deal

I think once I get my hands on a cleansing stone I will craft some HP gloves.

Man - I'm glad you guys posted this stuff, because frankly, I had no idea where I wanted to start My initial thought was to go after the +CHA skills, Wiz VI items. Hmmmm ... yea, that's where I'll go since I have no Skiver (*sobs*)

asps, i have the same plans you do,,,only i dont have skiver. i think i might wait until all the 3rd tier combos are discovered first though. i fiure i'll just bank all the ingr until i have a better idea of what is possible.

Aye, aye....these incoming combinations from the third tier are very interesting. I'm trying to figure out a way if I can squeeze the elemental bonus 100 SP from the third altar, and also get the effect that adds HP and SP on getting hit.
