Highest Spell DC Achievable?

Need somone to verify my calculations please. I figure the highest spell DC you can get is a 35. Yes, I realize this is situational in the sense it's not all schools:

10+spell level+Casting Stat+spell focus Item+Spell focus feats

base- 10
36 chr/int- 13
spell level- 8
spell focus- 1
greater spell focus- 1
item (dreamspitter)- 2

total= 35

18 base + 2 drow + 4 levels + 3 sorc + 3 tome + 8 green steel + 1 litany + 3 potion = 42

Evocation Spell DC:
10 base + 16 charisma + 8 heighten + 1 focus + 1 gr focus + 2 black scale + 1 spellsinger = 39

Note that this only works for evocation spells, because that's the only Greater Focus item that doesn't conflict with the body slot needed for Green Steel charisma.

The greensteel items give a +9 stat bonus, not 8 as you have listed.

and you listed drow but just a note that humans can currently hit the exact same dc as a drow (take your list and make the greensteel +9, remove the +2 from drow and add human chr 1 gives drow 43 and human 42:P )

That depends.....

cuz depending on the monster on which it is cast and how many HD it has, the DC may actually be considerably lower than other spells.

Absolutely situational, but the thread was heading into very specific territory so I opined.

What is the earliest level quest that a mephit appears? Using a heightened banishment/dismissal versus a low level mephit on normal difficulty is probably the highest spell DC possible in the game currently.

And also rather mean, I would almost feel sorry for the mephit. Almost.

Holy cow that's some high chr and DC. I'm curoius about a couple of things. I'm not sure what you mean by +1 from "litany" (an item from the raid/preraid?). And where do you get this magical potion that gives you +3 to your stats?

And yes, heh heh, I realize I said situational so banishment I guess technically wins. I meant more along the lines of a max DC for a specific school of magic since you can get various +2 focus items for different schools.

Litany is a raid drop from the Abbot that gives a +1 profane bonus to all stats
The potion is from desert collectables and gives +3 to a stat for a short amount of time (with the best potion)

Discounting littany (no sorc has that and probably wont ever get it) and potions (they take way too long to get to get any reasonably good usable amount) and spellsinger (warchanter bards are better)..
You can still get 35DC, for all scholls, just go -1 for reaver cloak instead of dreamspitter, and +1 for the +2 exception charisma bonus from greensteel (I know you can get +3 but for your maxxed sorc its a wasted tier2 upgrade)

Other specific abbot loot no one will ever get (tho i know one sorc on my server with it) Powerstore staff - +2 necromancy and enchantment DC on 1 staff, as well as -10 spellpnt cost always. Pretty nice item that none of us will ever get =/

My sorc is at DC34(35 spellsinger) for necromancy for now.. 33 for evocation and enchantment. Working on DC36 necromancy.

I believe it may be the lighthouse quest, out on the island in the harbor. Recovering the Lost Tome I think it's called?

I'd say that eventually the Abbot will be another raid on your timer list. Remember the Titan. Only 1 guild pulled that one off before he was adjusted. Sooner or later the devs will get around to the Abbot. I'm sure they don't like seeing a raid they spent so much time on not being run by anyone.

Litany doesn't matter much to me anyway as my sorcerer was build 2 years ago and is Chaotic, so he'd be taking a level hit using that thing. Bah, if I'd only known back then that Neutral would be the best alignment for a caster. But that staff looks pretty nice.

I don't get the comparison. Titan was hard because it had a long preraid and a 1 shot deal that allowed no mistakes.. With enough practice and no changes i'd still be beating that raid very regularly today.

Abbot is hard because the devs want it to require some retardedly impossible puzzles to be completed before you even get a shot at him.. And no they will NOT be changing that ever because that's the intention with the raid.. I mean I have beat it legitly many times before they decided that no, Im not allowed to beat it.. I really doubt they will change that back ever.

What has it been now anyways? nearly 6 months with zero legit completions.. (meaning all 3 puzzles beat without no exploits like ledge hanging or mass summoning) The devs dont care, it wont be changed.
