We're still looking into the exact cause, but we think we have a solution to get everyone safely back into the game. Unfortunately, we're still sorting it out, but we have hopes that we can fix people before tomorrow night's activities. Anyone who is having this problem needs to send tech support their account name and the server they're having the problem with (please don't post this information here). We're collecting this data both to determine what caused this and to fix the situation for those affected.

    Default Hope?

Well I guess thank you for trying to figure it out. But the word "Hope" doesnt instill and great confidence. I guess I will hope right along with you.

Thanks again for trying to solve this issue and trying to keep us informed.

I say hope, because QA is not in the habit of promising anything. Although to clarify, we're pretty sure of the fix, just not sure how long it'll take. So the hope part was mostly on the timing, not whether we'll get you into game or not.

    Again, sorry for the inconvenience.

normally I would be going crazy at this point, but i know there is no point in getting upset about it... however when it is fixed can we ask that the people who are suffering get a +5 loot week

Ahhh great, good to see that folks are getting back on

Hopefully, they inform the GM's in game of the easy fix this is so that it may be handled as quikly as it was after my problems last time. I try to stay as positive as possible, but sometimes....... In the face of Sorry we can't help talk to thsoe guys over there..... And then sorry we can't help you talk to those guys over there.... And as the circle continues

Hmm, glad to see you took care of a few of the peopel Turbinus. I realise that if you don't knwo a person ahs the problem you can't solve it. But I'm a bit confused as too why the GM's haven't been instructed to do this easy fix when contacted through an in game ticket. I KNOW they can do it, if properly instructed to do so. It's rather confusing as to why allthese people are put through such frustration. We all love the game and most of the time the Turbine staff does their best, but I think with this current problem just as it was last year, somethings falling apart. Such a simple problem to solve, yet it seems almost impossible to get it solved?

I say this with all due respect...... But I'm confussed

    Going on 2 days now...

    2 more tickets...

That must be one seriously dirty connection...

C'mon guys. What does it take? I'm being very patient but I have to say it's especially difficult to whistle a merry tune with all the anniversary stuff going on.

On the upside, I've made a lot of new friends on Sarlona.

This is not the same problem as last year. The online GM's can't fix this, otherwise people would be fixed as quickly as they report the problem. That old problem was fixed. What we have here is something new that is putting player accounts in a similar state, but one that isn't as easily cleaned up. I'm sorry it's taking longer for some people to get fixed, but we're doing what we can.

In an effort to better assist the turbine folks I took the liberty of translating the problem here.

I think I have a slightly different problem from everyone else. I logged in once, onto the Sarlona server, to try and find where all my old characters wound up. Not seeing them there, I quit and relogged, this time to Khyber. Instead of the same error that everyone else seems to be having, I get kicked out of the loading screen and this error comes up: "An authentication error occurred. Please try logging in again."

Now I get that error with every server I try logging into.
