    Default Spell Customization

I had a brainstorming session about the game and dreamt of an idea regarding spells and customiziing...

is it too much to program a way for 'spell-preparation' to include the choosing of graphic patterns?
example : the skin of the summoned dog could vary in color and texture...
other options are various... just a basic idea to add customization of spells...
    us wizards love that stuff

I have a couple of wizards and couldnt care less about something like this, sorry I think there are better things for the devs to use their time on like new spells and classes as well as adding the missing races and classes from the Eberron world.

While a variety of animations for spells would be nice and diversify various wizards, I'd have to say I'd rather have them working on new spells first.

I still want to see the cleric spell Righteous Might. Man that would be nice.

    Righteous Might
    Transmutation
    Level: Clr 5, Strength 5
    Components: V, S, DF
    Casting Time: 1 standard action
    Range: Personal
    Target: You
    Duration: 1 round/level (D)

This spell causes you to grow, doubling your height and multiplying your weight by 8. This increase changes your size category to the next larger one, and you gain a +4 size bonus to Strength and a +2 size bonus to Constitution. You gain a +2 enhancement bonus to your natural armor. You gain damage reduction 3/evil (if you normally channel positive energy) or damage reduction 3/good (if you normally channel negative energy). At 12th level this damage reduction becomes 6/evil or 6/good, and at 15th level it becomes 9/evil or 9/good (the maximum). Your size modifier for AC and attacks changes as appropriate to your new size category. This spell doesn’t change your speed. Determine space and reach as appropriate to your new size.

If insufficient room is available for the desired growth, you attain the maximum possible size and may make a Strength check (using your increased Strength) to burst any enclosures in the process. If you fail, you are constrained without harm by the materials enclosing you— the spell cannot crush you by increasing your size.

All equipment you wear or carry is similarly enlarged by the spell. Melee and projectile weapons deal more damage. Other magical properties are not affected by this spell. Any enlarged item that leaves your possession (including a projectile or thrown weapon) instantly returns to its normal size. This means that thrown weapons deal their normal damage (projectiles deal damage based on the size of the weapon that fired them).

Multiple magical effects that increase size do not stack.

Can't say that wouldn't be nice.

But Zuldar, why would an 8 str healbot desire a spell like this? This seems like a combat type buff and should only be implemented if it is allowed to be cast upon another. It is common knowledge that clerics are only good for, and should only be used for healing/buffing.....

Just kidding I've been hearing alot of what I just wrote lately. I find it to be quite annoying.

    Sounds like an AWSOME spell.

Ah all the time. I'll cede the fact that clerics can heal, and can do so pretty well. But for the love of dnd that's not all they can do, all the time.
