Default How much of your own resources do you use in a pug?

    Default well um...hmmmm

honestly, i think there are a lot of factors that are decided in a few seconds/minutes as to how much of my own personal resources I will contribute. I actually start off with no limits and decreased it from there.

#1 my knoweldge and confidence in myself of the quest and the handling of it,
#2 the fluidity of communication in the party and the general rapore with other members,
#3 observation of play of others while engaged in combat
#4 difficulty level of the quest itself vs. my level and the total parties level.
    #5 contributions, if any.

normally i was content with a full bar of CSW wands and maybe 10 or more res scrolls

that would put me through everything and then some..... often the same bar of wands would sit for ages unused

one you reach lvl 14 GH quests become more simple and even the Reaver elite isn't much of a drain on resources..... it depends on the level of the party really

i find i gauge the ammount i should use on how my first few runs go or the runs on quests of similar level go
if i'm using 20 scrolls on one group yet 5 on another i gauge whether the group was well put ogether, whether the quest was run at too high a level, whethr we didn't have the right equipment

usually it's a bit of trial and error

Well it depends. I personally do not carry more than 3 wands at level 16. I also have 10 rez scrolls I have had since the demon queen launched.

If we are doing a quest I want to do, I will shell out for wands. I bought 5 for an elite ritual run the other day. If it is not something I am really into doing or helping someone I know with, no wands on my dime for you.

I rarely ever use rez scrolls. I basically only use them when I am to far into a quest that I cannot get someone up on my own or if someone dies because I goofed up. Like I said, I have 10 from the 20 or so I bought the first time we went into the demon queen. That should tell you how often I use them.

If you are burning a full bar of wands on a party, I have to ask. 1. Whats wrong with the party? 2. Why spend that kind of money? 3. Why burn up that much inventory?

The first time I run my cleric through a dungeon, I conserve mana as much as possible, cooking scrolls and wands. For casters, there is a certain amount of shrine strategy involved. After getting comfortable with the dungeon I use less resources. For the most part, I'll do for a pug as I would do for guild.

On the other hand, there is the dual-wield ranger sporting a robe. With a few exceptions... I'm getting out of that group if I've joined a high level dungeon.

Lol! I think dex-based Rangers are great, and no harder to heal than any other melee-type...or a caster that draws agro. Just my opinion though.

I do the same thing when running through quests. I like to use wands and a few scrolls at first, making sure I know how to best use my mana. After a couple times I have a pretty good idea, and maybe use a wand to top-off at times.

As long as its a fearsome robe (or in the case of the one I'm levelling at the moment, a Fearsome amulet from the Emerald Claw Necrapolis upgrade), that ranger build is fine by me.
    I don't have a zerging problem.

    I'm zerging. That's YOUR problem.
