Default How Ham saved my life!

So my little halfling 3rd level ranger couldn't find a group this morning and so decided to go out on his own. Now he is set up to be able to solo a little bit and he is specced out against reptiles (favored enemy, all the enhancements so far). Well I decide to try to Rescue Arlo's on hard. I know I am going to have to take most of them by ranged rather than dual wielding.

Luckily I have been shopping in the auction house, if any of you have noticed any level 2 arrows being bought out like mad that was me! Everything is going fine until I am trying to escape after freeing Arlos. There is a mob of kobolds with 2 Shamans ahead. I drink potions, wand myself up, and on a whim eat a ham another player had given me from his "rain of hams". I am picking them off but I don't have precise shot yet so I can't hit the shamans. The little kobolds are throwing themselves in the way to protect the mages. Then uhoh rolled a 1 and I am held, the mob storms in, blows rain down on me unmercilessly, and I guess just for spite the second shaman throws up the black cloud (some fog spell right I forget). I go unconscious, then miraculously the wonderful taste of ham hits, boom I am up.

Now back at the keyboard I was already lamenting my failure and looking at the screen I was amazed to see my little dude stand up. NONE of the kobolds saw me, I throw on sneak, walk over to an alcove and heal. Now I'm mad and pull out my dreaded reptillian bane arrows and manage to take out the shamans! YAY! The rest of the kobolds go down in a flash.

/Salute to the Djinn of the Wishing Cake, the Devs, and too the all important Kargon, without whom I never would have survived to see daylight again!

Default Praise the Gods for Marvelous Ham...

I too have been saved by the miraculous ham, when health and hope were both nearly gone. I cannot say whether spellpoints would be equally restored (the person so saved having none). But my vitiality returned, and I lived to flee the overwhelming mess I had singularly gotten myself into.
Praise the Gods! Praise the Hams! A truly valuable gift. Many thanks.

    Default Ham?

I haven't played for nearly a year, but I remember some crazy barbarian I used to play with that LOVED ham...
    Kargon?

My memory fades, the months feel like years, and many of those that knew me probably have gone as well.
I hope to see a few old faces yet, for the few weeks that I will have available to relive the adventures I had thought past me forever.

I'm glad to see that Ham is still something spoken of admiringly.
    Fare thee well fellow adventurers.

Thanks! I am now an Ham addict although I am afraid that all the salt may be making me retain water.

Does this Chain Shirt make me look fat?

The best part of maxing out the toon slots and only using two of them for real characters means I have a LOT of hams........do the math.

I like the tasty hams too and ate them for the Barracks Assault battle with the devils on hard.

Too hard they can't saved me from the wrath of the final Orthon CR18 boss.

    My fighter is 13.

    Hams > Stoneskin

Counters all damage, not just physical attacks. And can raise you from incap.

If only it didn't take so long to eat.

Wow and here I thought Kargon might be the only one to appreciate my story!

Maybe Stormreach should adopt a Ham symbol for their flag?
