The part that says (Light Crossbow) is listing the prerequisite for the Feat, not its effect.

Rapid Reload works for all Crossbows.

It's just redundancy. The feat works with all crossbows, but you need to at least be proficient in light crossbows to use it. That in itself is a redundant statement, because all classes are proficient in crossbows.
