GC was talking about the people listing them having no brains based upon how high they are pricing them.

    Cool

Great Axes are weighted at the end so they swing faster by simple physics and momentem (spelling). Great swords are weighted throughout the whole weapon so the physics and momentem are different.

What that means is that a greataxe can achieve a higher energy on a single swing... but it also takes more power to stop it and swing again. So by physical reasoning, a greatsword would achieve multiple swings in a lower time.

In reality the greatsword and bastard swords were the trained warriors main weapon... they were a sign of a exclusive warrior, lord or knight... not a weapon of the typical foot soldier. The swordsmith was a special smith he produced these to be a balanced perfect killing weapon, they were extremely expensive to produce. Lords and knights trained with these to the point most thier lives were centered around them. The sword in the trained warriors hands were akin to the katana to a shogun and used in much the same way. The warrior used every part of the sword in combat, cleaveing, slashing, piercing and even bludgeoning with the hilt. It is interesting to watch how these weapons were used... both barbaric in intent yet graceful is practice a very deadly ballet. These men were trained to fend off and fight not only each other but to dispose of multiples of the comon recuited foot soldiers bering less adequate weapons which included - the axe.

Who cares if the animation looks bad? Just make it work properly, that's more important than having it pleasing to the eye.

    This is TOTAL BS.

If they can speed up attack animations with haste, tempest enhancement, and skill hastes, then there is no reason they cant add an invisible magical enhancement to all existing 2H weapons that are slower accordingly to bring them up to the exact speed when swinging as a Great Axe.

    It's preposterous.

*JORGUNDALS COLLAR* AHEM!!! (the code already exists, just make it stack with everything like tempest)
    good at business
