I recently came back to the game and heard that this item has been remvoed from the game. Is it worth anything? I'm not likely to trade or sell it, but if it was worth enough I might.

Before anyone trades for it..I would like to point this out from the Dev activities..

NEW Ring of Troll's Regeneration description has been updated to mention that it heals via positive energy.

Looks like it may be coming back in 6.1... why would they edit an item they were not putting back?

The edit may be due to the new regen from crafted items(?).

As in keeping all descriptions the same.

A Dev has said in the not too distant past that there were no plans to bring the Ring back into the game.

What is considered alot? My current character is level 4 and I have 5k plat.

The character that found it back at launch was level 7. <---- Highest level but I stripped him down to get stuff for my new character to play with friends.

its alot. but not that high, regen items are available in the new mod.

maybe 250k plat for it.

The new mod has introduced regeneration items in raid loot so I would say not as much as it used to be. Also, the regeneration rate is rather low, but i'm sure there is someone out there who REALLY wants one.

Yes i play with mortal voyage on a diffrent server. Does not mean every char I have on every server plays permadeath just some.

On another note, we've all see what a Ring of Feathers will go for on the auction (100-200k plat, perhaps more?) and there are plenty of Feather Falling items in the game (not to mention the Ring of Feathers still drops). This high price is for one reason, no min lvl. While there are regen items now available in the new raid you will have to be at least level 12 (since thats the new min lvl for green steel/weave items) and they bind. The troll ring is min lvl 5 (I think) and does not bind (and no longer drops) making it worth quite a bit more.

I have one on Sarlona. I can't get rid of it for anything. No one is even interested in it.

Problem is, 1hp/minute regen rate is really... well... useless in most situations, unfortunately.

Neat item to have. Very rare collectible.

Actually I have one of those Ring of Troll Regeneration.
It is VERY misleading, for a warforged. Let me clarify.
The ring description stated that it "regenerates 1hp/minute".
I'm not sure how anyone reads "healed" into that.
