How much HP does Pit Fiend has?

I did a very rough calculation, based on the damage I did on him.

Assuming the assumptions I made were valid in some certain degrees, I think this guy has 270,000hp minimum on hard difficulty. The exact number isn't important, the point is this is rather ridiculous, don't you think?

It took more than 2 hours to finish the whole thing and Part 5 alone took about 50% of it.

It gave me a very uncomfortable WOW feeling.

hes got way to freakin many thats how many he has... be nice to see them cut the number by 1/3rd or so, make taking on the pit fiend reasonable rather then just a time/cash sink.

Seemed to me to be in the 75k-100k range on normal, based on the speed his HP went down when my Sorc started going nova on him.

Am still on the timer, so no idea what he's like hard/elite.

my guess would be 150k on normal we had 5 dps on him plus sorcs emptying there sp for 20 min maybe 300k on hard.

on my ranger in a normal run averaging 20 damage per arrow (counting "miss"es and lag/ranged bug misses) i spent 1443 arrows. we had two dedicated tanks, and 2 other archers. took us about 20 minutes and for my part i did about 28k damage. the other 2 archers reported similar cases, so that's, presumably, 84k, plus the tanks. i would say the 2 tanks did at least as much as us 3 ranged, so we're up to at least 150k as a safe estimate. we also had two sorcs that threw some stuff in as well, mostly acid fog, but no report on their numbers. my personal guess would be that on norm he has about 150-250k hp, prob closer to 200k.

Several million or more... very difficult to measure. I can hit him for ~80 dmg constantly + 270 crits and even after a full 30 seconds of attacking his hitpoint bar does not move..

Prt4 normal? probably 100K.. Our best grps take him down in 3 minuits there. Hard is like 5x hp, and elite is like 10x.

I think players reporting higher numbers on part4 normal aren't accounting for the fact the gnolls heal him.

If your fight is taking very long (20+ minuits) you will not be able to accurate gauge it as the gnolls will have healed him a ton.

Where we do it in 3 minuits, the gnolls do not heal him at all, they die before they even move.

not sure how they scale the hp on difficulty. Can we say, if boss has X hp on normal, it has around 2X hp on hard, and 3X on elite?

If that's the case, I would say Pit Fiend has 400-450K hp on elite.

dont have the proof, but i can vouch for it as i have been in several runs with axer. we consistently take him down in 2-3 rounds (appearances). what with the devil pops and the flying storm overhead, i dont think we've done 3 minutes, but prob 7. course those are just fillers, actually fighting the devil only takes about 3 min. if everyone in your party is contributing, he goes down pretty quick.
