it isn't a bad item, but I honstly had some trouble getting rid of a greater potency VI item. Should be around 10-15K plat

Yeah I'd agree with 10-15k plat....the problem is that there is only really one level 7 damage spell (delayed blast fireball) and I dont think I have heard one good thing about it.

Pretty much the way I felt. I thought of vendering it or AH. I was on the edge of excitement when it came up in the quest rewards, thought it may be an 8 (polar ray) but alas it was 7 and I have DS and FOD so let down again oh well.

DBF is the only high damage output spell that will do damage to the abbot on every shot.

Disintegrate is blocked about 30% of the time.

A greater potency VII should be highly sought after by clerics, I would think, also.

Awe...that hurts...DFB is freaking unbelievable....700+ crits. I am fire/cold specced and when it's time to bring that red named from 75-50% to 0 it happens in a few seconds: DFB, Scorching ray, Freezinf Sphere, Cone of COld, Polar Ray...hmmm, yummy!

Oh, and the fact that you can set up two DFB traps and then fire one of into a group of mobs...that's over usually around 2000 dmg in less than a second....almost 6000 if they are vulnerable (and yeas, being Fire/cold specced and having the superior fire lore item, it really does crit that often!)

About the item OP: I got one off the AH for 20K PP...worth it for me

Well I decided to keep the scepter for my cleric she is Level 7 now but if I actually played she could probably be able to use it in a month or so.
