DDO 2 Year Anniversary

I'm trying to plan vacation days for the anniversary, I was hoping to get some information.

First, when technically is the anniversary date? I was thinking March 1st, but if I recall correctly, we began a few days earlier with pre-launch.

Will there be a loot weekend? Or other event? I'm sure there may be surprises that wont want to be blown, but any information that would be useful in deciding days off would be most appreciated. Specifically the time frame. I'm thinking of taking off 2/28 and 2/29, but it all depends on when the anniversary update rolls out and how long special things will be in effect.

Asking a lot I know, but the forum PR folks responded to a similar request I had last year and it was a huge help. Thanks!

Well, this probably can't be considered "official" or anything, but Amazon lists DDO as coming out on February 28th, 2006.

Heh, I have to have a surgery done soon, so I scheduled it on the 28th. DDO is the same as bed rest, right?

The first day I played DDO was February 24th 2006 (my first two characters were rollled that day - still playing one of them!), but that was during 'pre-release'.

I am not certain, but I believe Turbine officially recognizes a date in early March...

I also am excited about the 2 year Anniversary events, and hope your post gets some sneak peak info as to what is planned.

Ok, more speculation. I seem to remember it lasting 2 weekends, and starting on a Thursday nigh, last year. The 28th is a Thursday. If it's a week long event, expect it to end Monday at noon on March 3.

If it starts on the 28th (the day Amazon lists the release) and ends on March 10th (the day it was available in stores) it will be 12 days long. There seems to be a fascination with The Twelve lately....

Well headstart was on the 24th and I am still playing one character from then he is my main still, the regular start was on the 28th. The price break for 6 months was a pretty good way for them to start so things can only get better from there.
