    Default huh

I have nothing wrong with making plat what i ahve wrong with is this.

would you take your 76 chev impala thats blue book price is $1,000,00 and advertise it for $15,000,000,00? No why not. because it would not selll and would only cost you cash to advertise such a redisulous price.

then why would you put a +1 tome on auction for $12,000,000,00 gold knowing full well the only person that would buy it would be someone who didnt know any better.

This is what almost made me quit ddo was that i at lev 3 went to try and upgrade equipt and there was no way in heck a new player could afford mosdt of the stuff because was way overpriced. Now by lev 7-10 you realize the over priced stuff is just posted by twit plat farmers with high dreams and learn to sift through and find the 5-10% of auctions that are for a proper and resonable price.

I have no prob paying a resonable price and have bought things on auction for a mil gold because i felt that item was worth it for me.

    BUT:

If you are not a plat farmer then 99.99% of tems will never be priced over a mil gold so my idea would cost you a hundred grand gold to post (10k plat) if you dont have 10k plat what do you have a mil item for?

    and

if you are not a plat farmer wanting to over charge then my idea saves you money in the long run because it is base 10% of the top and thats it unlike now that is like 31%.

its like the wieners who are trying to sell power orbs that can be bought in shroud for 10k plat...they are just a detriment to the game and should be dealt with accordingly

All of the non-bound named items and collectables from the last mod were crazy on the AH when the mod came out. It is simple supply and demand. Everyone wants crafting items, just like everyone wanted shield pieces, taps and tomes last mod. Just wait unitl supply catches up and prices will stabilize. Until then gouge away if you are the seller and someone will buy, use the forums if you ar ethe buyer and want to pay less.

Just one charge at start of auction 10% of listing.

Personally anyone that would have a problem with that i would say is a plat farmer because i would have no problem paying to post a 1mil +3 vorpal.

Then you would be wrong. I have a problem with it and I am NOT a plat farmer. I am just a casual player who doesn't have a tonne of money to waste on auctions that may not sell.

I try and be reasonable with my prices but will take the opportunity to buy low and sell high on the auction house, which is completely legitimate. It's all about supply and demand and it's just business as usual....

a monet/picasso is worth millions at present time, but was worthless when they 1st came out. ask comic book collectors, a mint condition 1st edition can worth 20-30k! its not the base price of an item that is the value of the item. its the rareness and demand of the item that marks its true value.

i do not know who you are referring to but i routinely put +1 tomes for 90k pp or 900k gp. with the recent availability of +2s, i've lowered them to 60k pp. most of the tomes on sale are for 1.2M gp not 1.2M pp. the ones that command 1.2M pp are the +2s. are you sure you had seen the right item?

your problem is not the cost of the auction, your problem is wanting the best for every level. when i first started playing ddo, i did not even go to the broker to buy weapons. you do not need uber weapons for every level. i'd suggest you sort out your own problem rather than pushing it to external forces. how far you want to go ahead is dependant on yourselves, not others.

are you sure? ask how much would a player buy a w/p rapier for.... ask all the clerics how much plat they have, some have to resort to selling their ubers to raise plat so they can blow it on mana sponges.

    and

if you are not a plat farmer wanting to over charge then my idea saves you money in the long run because it is base 10% of the top and thats it unlike now that is like 31%.

like i said, your method discriminates the new players

its like the wieners who are trying to sell power orbs that can be bought in shroud for 10k plat...they are just a detriment to the game and should be dealt with accordingly

    this i agree
