    Default Game Settings (Interaction)

I hope this is the correct place to post this question?

I have been playing the game since it release and was courious about using a game pad. I purchased a Logitec game pad (Like a PS2 Controller). I have no probleml setting it up although I play multiple types of characters (Fighter, Barbarian, Sorc, Cleric) Every time I switch between characters I need to reset up my buttons on the game pad because evey person I have uses the same settings. Is there a way to seperate each characters own key mapping to avoid this issue? Could this be something in development or has it not been thought of before? Some feedback from a DEV would be nice.

In my opinoin thanks for a great product.

    Thanks,
    Lavyn

I run a Zpad on every type of character in the game. I only use it for directional movement and the hotbar keys, I use the push-to-change-direction on the mouse.

I'm not sure what you're looking for though. There are only so many things your character can do... run, jump, turn left...
Those shouldn't change no matter what character type you're on, so what exactly are you resetting for each character?

I agree with you Run / Jump / Movement keys are no problems. As a fighter I like to Have an attack key. Example lets say button 1 on my game pad is for my fighter to attack and button 2 is to block. Button one then for my Sorc is to attack with the weapons in his hands instead of casting Finger of Death, and button 2 instead of blocking is now casting PK.

What I am asking for is a different Keymap for each character so we could customize them for each player. Not just have the same one for all toons.

Another example is as a Cleric I have button 1-6 select players 1-6 then use other buttons to cast heal spells to keep them alive. Constanlty having to set up the key map between characters.

I hope that explains it better and thanks for the response.

Let me try to help you as best I can. the attack may have to stay the same, and the block, but you can move all your special abilites to the hot bars, I use 1-10 on the first hot bar, then cntrl 1-6 on the second, then alt 1-6 on the third one. You could then program your pad to use those macros when you hit a button or a combo of buttons.
