    Default Wielding Green Steel Weapons...

So, it looks as if we can forge ourselves some harder hitting weapons. If you examine the various screen shots around the forums, all the green steel weapons are considered evil. Does this mean that my Chaotic good characters will not be able to use them? Or will they take a negative level?

I also noticed that there is no UMD to beat the evil alignment. How does this work? I have 3 Chaotic good characters and 1 True Neutral. What happens when they try to use green steel weapons?

I'm hoping that, since there is no mention of a negative level or any other penalty, we can use them no matter what alignment.

They are not evil aligned, they are only treated as such for the purpose of bypassing DR, therefor there are no penalties.

    Yep,

No penalty. My paladin wields his green steel khopesh just fine....

Although I don't know if we'll be able to equip more than 1 green steel item on at a time w/o penalty, initially.

Haven't got one yet, but think "Flametouched Iron".......treated as good aligned but it's not.

The penalty for equipping 2 green steel items is damage over time. Someone in my guild did and reported 30+ damage every 6 seconds. But the touch of shavarath description seems like there may be a way to purify it. Hopefully removing the penalty.

You can equip one non-weapon green steel item without penalty. This means at maximum you could use two green steel weapons and one green steel accessory (boots, goggles, bracers, etc.).

It's like Flametouched Iron (which you can wield regardless of alignment). It bypasses DR/evil, but doesn't require a specific alignment to wield.

One tainted non-weapon green steel item. Perhaps there's a way to cleanse it...

There is an NPC in the city portion of the vale that when you talk to her senses no tait on you. Theory is that with enough favor, certain events, etc she may be able to remove the tait from items.

I think she says something closer to "I sense nothing of interest on you, and that bores me."

But it is entirely possible that with enough favor, you can remove taint from items. Has anyone earned 100 Twelve Favor yet?

Equip your Green Steel Item. Talk to the Silver Flame Agent once(She won't say anything special).

/death 100 times(In a Quest, Raid, or Slayer zone), then talk to the Silver Flame Agent 10 times(nothing special the first 9 times), she will tell you you still need cleansing.

So... use /death 100 more times and the Brother(Or Sister) you are coming back to life at will declare you pure. Then, talk to the Agent again and she will complete the cleansing of the item you wore while /deathing those 200 times.

Using /death in a Tavern area or Rest area does not count toward these 200 times.

    You will need:

    1) A BUNCH of components.

    2) 3 Shavarath Sigil Stones(or whatever the 5 stones combined is)

    3) A lot of patience

    4) An adept Raid party

    5) More inventory slots.

And a way to reprogram the game to include those three weapon types among the Green Steel blanks.
