Thumbs up Hats off to the devs

Morning devs. Wanted to say good job on mod 6. You guys get very little appreciation for a job well done and if I could buy you a beer I would in all honesty. The demons are very creative and quests are not just walkthroughs which is nice. Youve put the adventure back into quests. I like the 'crafting system' for the most part except its only available to high level people. ( Im sure your gonna fix this right away )

The spam mail is gone from what Ive seen which is fantastic. From what I have seen this MMO is the first to be able to eliminate spam mail entirely. Im sure other MMOs are looking at what youve done with keen interest. Youve made grinding somewhat enjoyable with the crafting system compared to before grinding for xp and random loot you had no choice in what it was, now you can grind for an item you actually desire to have. IMO youve addressed alot of issues that were causing people to leave the game.

Again good job, pat yourselves on the back, you deserve it.

    Default I will 2nd and 3rd this

I want to add my thanks, love your work BRAVO ZULU.

Trying to please all of the people all of the time is impossible, probably more so on here, but you seem to have taken the major gripes and worked on them, and in some very creative ways that were not even thought about by the playing population. So my hat is off.....

Ritual Sacrifice - very possibly the coolest quest in the game. It's "coyle" is a rockstar, the terrain is awesome (what like the first outdoor quest since redwillow/SC? - I know it's "dungeons" & dragons but outdoor adventures are awesome), and there are multiple methods of completion depending on party make-up. Even without anything else, this seems like the most well thought out and designed quests in a long time. Much thanks.

    Agree 75-80% with the OP.

Hats off to the Devs for the Vale and all the quests out there save Coalescence Chamber. And hats off for the Shroud, although I'm yet to see part 5.

The things I'm not such a fan of:

    1) Destruction bug - yes, we all know this will be fixed Monday.
    2) Blanket immunities on mobs in the Shroud - IMO the foes there should have +10 to saves vs. charm/banishment effects - it's a pest to play a Sorc as a main and struggle to get a Shroud group unless I start it myself.
    3) Loot imbalance - the Vale quests have too little, the Shroud too much. Far, far too much. Shroud 1-3 takes less effort to beat than a perfect 4-chest run of Let Sleeping Dust Lie, yet the Shroud offers 8 chests.
    4) Low drop rates of some ingredients. Shards of Power in particular should be revised up (they are a mongrel to find). Likewise the Fecundity ingredients are a tad rare IMO. The Subjugation ingredients seem to be a tad too common. I suggest you scale ingredient drop rates up with increased difficulty.
    I don't have a zerging problem.

    I'm zerging. That's YOUR problem.

Not sure exactly which immunities you are talking about since you didn't specify, but the devils have a lot of immunities in D&D, so its not really something the devs just made up to annoy you.

Anyway, I agree that the devs deserve a lot of kudos for this mod. I'm very happy with 90% of it.

I love you. I love the devs. There are, as you said, barely anyone that ever sits down on these forums to give the devs what they deserve. Everyone is just worrying about their precious little death penalty...

In all seriousness, these devs are the best I've seen yet, hands down. Cyclic modules and updates with absolutely no additional fee is outstanding. You guys do deserve a couple cold ones and maybe a red wine for Kate. Cheers!

I too have to agree with the OP!

Good job on Mod-6, it was nice to have new things to run and new levels to get.
The Vale and the quests are pretty well done and are very beautiful to look at.

All in all, great job Devs.

I have to add my two coppers.

While there are still some things to be fixed (aren't there always?), this has to be the best MOD I've seen since the desert was released.

    Keep up the good work.

    /signed.

Its a great mod, and I'm thoroughly enjoying it. I don't think it surpassed GH, but its right there with the desert. In fact, it may be just a wee bit better (IMO).

Have finally done all the new quests on elite. They're not quite as scary as I thought they would be. Can't wait to finish the raid.

Here's hoping to getting yet more creative and interesting content.

    Favorites:

    1. A quest in the dark - MORE of these please. Forget teh torch even - just have intermittent lighting. Awesome effect!
    2. Underwater quest - its kitschy and the novelty wears off fast, but I enjoyed it.
    3. Fighting "good" guys ... hehe Requires some new strats instead of holy burst ftw.
    4. Making the "HPs are the new AC" trend cost. Literally. As in repairs. Ouch, I feel for all those 600 HP Barbs in robes.
    5. Making Spell Penetration relevant.
    6. Using the "protect Coyle" model not once but twice - and having it work!
    7. Using the "don't kill them" model (a la Shrieking Mines) and keeping it fun.
    8. Tying loot (via # of chests) to effort. This is a great way to keep "optionals" relevant.
    9. The Gelatinous Cube !!! I still enjoy seeing the jiggle.
10.Returning the "epic" feel to quests. Folks like TS for this reason ... these new quests capture that.
11.Not being afraid to pass out some loot upgrades. 2 Wiz 7 helms, 2 Sup VI Scepters, +2 Con tome, my list goes on ....

    Gripes:
    1. No Boss named "Ronnie James Dio" in RitD.
    2. No high-kicking, tiger-pant wearing Rakshasa in Running with the Devil.
    3. Coalescence Chamber is tedious.

I am pretty happy with the Mod overall. The quests are very good with the exception that Chamber is a little too long. The raid is playable and fun, but I think the Pit Fiend spams meteor swarm a too quickly. I got hit with it like 5 times in 30 seconds. My only other gripe is the death penalty. Other than that, I think an excellent job was done.

No whining, unless you're serving really good cheese. Otherwise, put a cork in it.

I haven't seen the Shroud Raid yet, but I'm enjoying the Vale and the 5 new quests. 5 quests seems a bit sparce for level 15+ content. I hope module 6.1 will give us some more. I guess we are supposed to be repeating The Shroud over and over as the new content?

I'm pleased with the design of the adventures and the gameplay changes that have been made. The Trap DC raising and lack of new scroll & ingrediant drops are relatively few issues that need to be fixed.

I had hoped for something more similar to the Gianthold in scale though. That module was great too. 13 new quests or so?

I'll take nothing away from the devs but the meal was a little light on portion.

Pushing out 5 quests is a bit like a 4 ounce petite cut. Sure it fills the stomach but hardly a meal of any sorts.

So one thumb up and one thumb down.
