+2 dex tome

if you had a +2 dex tome & 32-point builds, what would you build

i am thinking about either an elf or halfling as a race because both have useful dm's

as to class, i am thinking about either ranger or fighter with the possibility of a mulit-class

with ranger, i can get a high dex with this +2 tome & still have a decent str (will be able to snag a +2 str tome at 1750 favor)

any input from the community is appreciated

My thoughts would be for a TWF build to go at least for Ranger 6. I really think the 10% boost in attack speed is really nice. I think the best TWF build would be Fighter 10/Ranger 6. If you went Elf you could go with the displacement dragon marks that would be pretty cool with a tactics build. I would skip Int and improved trip and just stick with Trip/Stunning
Blow.

You would have a ton of feats, 6 regular feats, 2 free TWF feats from Ranger, and then 6 fighter bonus feats.

TWF (Ranger)
ITWF(Ranger)
(FB) GTWF
(FB) IC Piercing
(FB) Stunning Blow
(FB) Dodge
(FB)Weapon Focus Piercing
(FB)Weapon Spec Piercing

Others:
Extend
Mobility
Spring Attack
Toughness
Least Mark of Shadow
Lesser Mark of Shadow

Go with 17 starting dex, 16+ in strength (plus all level ups) and the rest in Con.

If you want to fit in quick draw to help with the tactics stuff then I would drop weapon spec until the next cap and switch weapon focus to OTWF.

Einar Mal, you can make some good builds & this is a good one

however, the player who wrote the "building a ranger" guide said that 2wf fighters are just gimped rangers

based on that, this build has too much fighter for me

that might be a little harsh, but i sort of agree

also, i play my sor a lot & i fod or charm just about everything i can in the new content & i cannot see me being able to fit these types of tactics into my playing style or even getting to use them that much due to those **** sors who fod & charm everything

Yeah Ranger 12/4 is a good option, was thinking you were still going for the tactics stuff and Fighter works better for that. Yeah I am finally breaking down and rolling a sorc tired of fighting the pull of the dark side of overpoweredness....

sors are power, most groups that i am in the new content usually carry 2 & sometimes 3

playing my sor is a fun & easy way to get lots of loot & plat
