    Default Warforged Cleric Advice

I've got a Warforged Cleric, WIS 16 and CHA 12 at start, with the barest splashing of other stats here and there. I started things out with the Adamantine Body feat, and quite enjoy it, and I'm looking for good ideas to stay effective as a sometimes-combatant as well as effective as a healer.

I have formed a symbiotic relationship with a fleshling companion, and find that myself and this wizard making an interesting Duo. He can repair, and I can sodder his weak fleshy bits back together again.

Suggestions are the same as any Cleric that plans to melee, self-buffs. Divine Favor & Divine Power normally do the trick for me.

Also being Warforged Bladesworn Transformation is interesting, but note it is similar to Tensor's Transformation, you cannot cast while under it's influence.

PS. Also decent crowd controll from you and your Wizard buddy will go a long way to maintaining your viability in melee.

If you have a wizard fleshbag-pet, I highly recommend Bladesworn Transformation. I mean, why not? Sure, you can't cast spells, but Bladesworn, if I'm not mistaken, only lasts a minute. If your entire team manages to die in one minute without your healing, I think it's safe to say you've got bigger problems than your build.

Bladesworn Transformation is a spell of which level?

Also, apart from Damage Reduction and burning turn attempts to give back Spellpoints, what should I do with my enhancements?

Bladesworn Transformation is the culmination of a Enhancement line, the first gives you a +1 to hit with greatswords, the second available at level 6 is Bladesworn Transformation, for like 1 min usable every 10 minutes.

Awww man, what the heck am I supposed to do with a greatsword?

I'm not even proficient, am I?

I mean, I imagine I can find a way to fit it in, but I had initially intended to skip that whole thing due to the high cost and lack of noticeable benefit.

The Follower of Lord of the Blades gives you a clicky that makes your character proficient in greatswords.
Bladesworn Transformation gives you a +4 profane bonus to Strength and I think Con as well, which means it stacks with practically every other bonus out there. It also gives you Heavy Fort and BAB equal to your character level and some other crazy stuff- it basically turns you into a melee monster for a minute.
It's a line definitely worth looking at, even if you don't plan on using greatswords.

Or do what I did, took 1 level of Pally, got some SP's and martial weapons along w/ +1 AC and saves Fighter works also, or Ranger or Barbarian...

How well do Pally levels integrate with cleric?

Works for me, gained a few extra sp because wis is a pallys casting stat, gained martial weapons, +1 AC and +1 to all saves. Just have to wait 1 extra level to get cool spells

Also poeple see the Warforged Cleric/Paladin walk up w/ a Greatsword and think "Ohhh great no heals for me".

I'm working on a Warforged Cleric with Greatsword and Addy DR. Although it's not bad, I consider it a concept character. Nothing uber.

Worth noting that it cost one turn to activate. I've forgotten to turn on my greatsword proficiency many times

Since my WF cleric kept his 6 CHR, I have ONE click of GS Proficiency...... I just hit it each time I shrine... Hasnt been an issue at all. I have accidentally Passed out my Lord of the blades on an unsuspecting party member by mistake though.. That sucks.. No Melee for me till the next shrine....

I started with a 14 STR though so with Reciation and Divine power I have some nice melee capabilites with that Greatsword (Bull STR and Divine Favor at low levels)

I've been playing Clerics almost exclusively, but never really built a BattleCleric yet. So I too rolled a WF BattleCleric:

    My beginning stats:

    STR 16 (+3)
    DEX 11 (+0)
    CON 13 (+1)
    INT 8 (-1)
    WIS 17 (+3)
    CHA 6 (-2)

I decided to max out WIS, at the cost of CON. not sure if the right decision but I"ll roll with it. I'm going down Bladesworn Transformation too, I always saw it there with my other Clerics, but this is my first Warforge so I wanted to see what it does.

I have never multi-classed any of my other clerics, I stayed away from that, but, with this build, it's a different story. I'm at Lvl 2 right now, and I'm bantering about what other class to take. It's either a fighter or Pally. I like the extra feat the Fighter gets, I can grab another Cleric feat, and Fighter gets me martial weapons and such.

But the Pally also gets me the same, plus +1 AC bonus and immunity effects, but I loose the extra feat, but a bump up in SP.

Go with extra Feat with fighter, or +1 AC, boost in SP and immunity effects with Pally..........

Can somone tell me if I need to take a lvl of fighter at any specific time. Right now, I'm a lvl 2 cleric, if I take a level of fighter next lvl, will I still get the extra feat?

I also started with a 14 STR. When I amde him I was worried that it may be a bit low. Unfortunatly he's a 28 Point build and so I had to skimp a few places. Really at level 12/1 a 14 starting STR is fine. W/ DP I am at a 20 and am meleeing fine.

You're blessed with a more focused mind than mine. My toaster only has one use too. I forget to refresh dailies, drop in on the wrong character or just plain forget to put it on myself pretty regularly. Almost cost me big in Kobold assault hard last night. After sneaking to the shrine I got up and coudn't hit anything. took me a bit to figure out what was going on. It was only a big deal on acount of being an EE PD character. Normally it's not a big deal though. I do agree that with Bulls STR, Divine Favor and Bless you're in good shape for melee.

No matter when you take your first level of fighter, you will get an extra feat. Not any feat though, you select from the special fighter list.

I have a Cleric 14 / Paladin 2 Warforged right now that uses Greatswords and has Bladesworn. When the time is right, and being smart with it is very important, I can go into a melee frenzy of considerable proportions. With the build I have, Bladesworn tosses my strength up to a 28, and I tote around a Cloudburst as my primary weapon, so I tend to do good damage against many things in the game.

Aye with buffs & Bladesworn I get around a 30 STR, been using a +2 Holy Greatsword Of Lesser Evil Outsider Bane, works well enough for me in the vale for the most part.

Did you splash any pally or fighter levels and what were you starting stats? Looking to roll a wf cleric and looking for some different builds to mix and match.
