I wish. I got a free month of DDO which is appreciated. Mainly though, I got a bunch of PMs for a post that started off pretty much tongue and cheek. It's been fun though. I only wish more newbs and newbettes would sign up.

I think most new persons don't use the forums and of those that do, wouldnt necessarily be focusing in on Thelanis section of it. If you want to get more participants I would recommend going out in the harbour area on weekends or evenings when most ppl are on and look for those tells in gen chat or the lfm's from ppl stating they need help as they are new to game.

When I came to Thelanis a month ago or so, I put an LFM up saying new to server any help appreciated getting xp. I very quickly was able to get the group filled, and also many tells just wishing me welcome to the server.

Anyways, just if you really want to continue this, start thinking of outreach as only so many are going to come to you.

Ren she's got a very good point, you may want to put up a note about this thread in the newbie harbor section and maybe in the General Build section as well. I see a lot of new posters in those areas.

Good idea. I posted about getting a Sticky put up there listing people that would help newer folks on the various servers, but to no avail. Use your clout Ren!!!

in my world your server's forum would pop up on the login screen before you logged into the game!

better yet ren, i think you should be made to stand in the harbor and general chat spam the harbor with your new program message for hours on end! for weeks!

I dunno.. I always check out the forums for the server I'm going to be playing on, and pretty much ignore the other forums unless I'm looking for specific information. I'd rather get to know the people I might have a chance of running into in game than putter about with the entire gaming community. But then.. I'm strange. My cat tells me so.

Great idea, but I'm too busy pharming crafting materials. I would, however, be willing to pass the torch to those more enthusiastic and with more free time on their hands. It would be as simple as me sending you the list of sponsors in order of who signed up first as well as the sponsor/sponsee matches we already have in place.

Someone like Jules would be great for this job.

Ah, most don't mine...term of endearment! On a related note, one of my 'noobs' that adopted me from seeing my posts has hit lvl 10, going for 11 today. Congrats Snuggler!
