I have a problem lol

So a few weeks ago I was trying to level up my new fighter... I was (still am actually) level 3 so I was just running around doing some harbor quests... I kept dropping connection... every other quest (no exageration EVERY 5-10 min)... my internet is fine for everything except DDO apparently (although I have had no problems logging into the game (even after I just dropped connection), well 1 problem but Ill hit that later)... at the time I put it off as my old computer (it was messed up lol)... but now that I have my new computer it is still happening...

What I don't get is that when I drop my connection I can relog in at record speed... except that 50-75% of the time it happens I cannot log directly into the character I just froze on. I have to choose a different one. This wouldn't be nearly as big a deal (well except the same character issue) if it hadn't just been changed so that when you DC you are now kicked out of the quest to the nearest city area...

My connection seems to be as fast (actually faster with this new comp.) as ever... so I'm guessing it has something to do with the game code itself... I am not very computer savy at all though...

This is NOT a 1 time occurance... it is happening about EVERY 30-45 min... any ideas on how to fix it?????

EDIT: If you've been in my group and I've dropped connection I am very sorry... I try to get back in everytime... but I can't...

I had a similar problem. It turned out that it was my dsl modem. It was unhappy and it was overheating. For awhile I just kept a can of frozen juice on hand to set on top of it. (I'm sooo tech savy :P) That worked..but eventually that wasn't even helping. So I got a new modem and now, unless something wierd happens, I'm pretty stable.

It might not be your problem...
