I was in the Vale, ran into a bunch of those teleporting devils. Ran into the water to hide from them before I died. I jumped while in the water to cast a spell on myself, BIG MISTAKE. They teleported next to me and killed me, WHILE I WAS IN MID AIR. Then my party came to rescue me and the devils killed a party member WHILE HE WAS COMPLETELY UNDERWATER BY SHOOTING ARROWS AT HIM WHILE THEY WERE UNDERWATER. ***?!?!?!? If they can do it WHY CAN'T WE??

Wihle this might not have been intended you must also find it hard to not laugh. This is the kind of stuff I would do if I were a DM.

Monsters are not usely allowed to touch the surface of water with out re-spawning and that prevents them from following you and fighting you in water.

However, teleport seems to cause them to break that rule once in a great while and once in the water they do not have the same restrictions as players.

Plus you have always been subject to various spell effects from enemy casters even when underwater. I recall trying to dive into that moat in WW Part 2 to get away from a whole bunch a ****ed Kobold Shamans. They kept hitting me with damage spells while underwater until I went into the zombie tunnel...

LOL bro, I know they cheat, I've seen 'em cheat before this one, and I know they will always cheat.

I must say I had to LMAO when my buddy came for my soul stone and died underwater by a hail of arrow fire by the underwater mobs. It was totally unexpected.

Same reason why trogs are so anoying, they attack you while in water and u cant touch them with melee so you switch to your slower ranged and u die because you cant kill them quickly enough with your throwing axe while they throw endless lightning bolts and fireballs on you, oh and melfs.

You wouldn't be my DM for long. If you prohibit players from fighting while underwater, you should also prohibit the monsters. DMs should provide challenge, not find cheesy cheats to defeat players when they can't fight back.

Underwater combat was implemented in like mod 5, probably more like 4.3, just not for players.
