Default What is your highest AC (buffed or unbuffed)?

I'm curious. I saw an older thread on AC, but I cannot find a recent one on what the possibilities are. I was excited the other day, I was able to get my rogue's AC to a buffed 70 in an outdoor instance. His normal standing AC with a bark pot is 53.

Here is a screenie of the 70AC. I would like to hear what others have gotten and how you got there.

Is that an old screenshot? Paladin Misc. Bonus now caps at +4 and is the only thing I know of that grants a Misc Bonus. Still, 69 AC (buffed) is impressive. Very nice!

Its not an old pic. In fact, it is from this past Sunday. It might be the parrying weapon I have that is giving the extra misc. I thought pally buff was capped at 4 as well.

Yup, that's it exactly. Parrying gives a +1 Insight Bonus not recorded on the list, and therefore is probably the extra +1 Misc. Thanks for taking the time to help me figure it out. And congrats again on your AC!

P.S. Next time you're in a quest, get a Cleric to buff you with Recitation. +2 Luck bonus to AC.
P.P.S. And Haste gives another +1 Dodge bonus to AC.

Why not. As long as in the screenshot you are actaully fighting those monsters.

In a tavern with 20 other players casting every single thing on you is allot less impressive then in a real quest.

In fact, I was hasted. And I thought of the recitation, but I didn't have a Pally with me or a ranger. I may talk some into helpin me get that as well. So, should be able to get 72AC. (Good thing I have plenty of the +3 alchemical dex pots -- pays to be a collectible junky once in awhile).

Regarding the defense or any other AC bonus, if it shows in a screenie post it. That would be cool. Post whatever you like man. I would just like to see what others come up with. Even if its the highest for a given class that might be cool.

I think unbuffed, unstanced, unboosted, is a fair way to measure ac. Anything else is so situational that you would rarely maintain it during actual gameplay.

I agree with you on boosts. But, stances like CE are on all the time for a high AC build. And any buffs you can cast yourself are fair game.

Still, it's nice to see how high that AC number can go!

Oh, cool! I'm at a bit of a loss to understand the 41 DEX (do you have the Litany of the Dead?) and +12 Dodge bonus.

I assume +1 Dodge, +3 Chattering Ring, +1 Haste, +6 ImpUncanny Dodge. But where's the other +1 coming from?

Probably chaosguards, and no dodge feat.

Best I have a screenie of currently is 66, although my fighter isn't carrying AC boost, so could add 5 more with that. Of course I'm at work, so no screenie, but here's the breakdown:

    10 base
    13 mfp
    9 mts
    6 dex (FAM3, FTM2)
    6 dodge
    5 deflection
    =49
    5 CE
    5 natural (ranger)
    1 haste
    2 recitation
    =62
    1 my aura
    3 full pocket pally
    =66
1 remembering to equip weapon of parrying
    =67
    5 ac boost
    =72

I'm kinda tempted to build a dex-based dorf fighter/rogue or fighter/barb just to see if I can break 80... Self-buffed I lose 3 from the pally aura, 1 natural from madstone rage instead of ranger bark... And that's it. I actually carry a recitation wand.
