    Default Weapon Sets

I have been rolling a couple two weapon melee types lately and have found that 7 weapon sets (at least for me) still is just not enough.

Any chance we could make something like the AH posting window for weapon sets. For example you would put your weapons into the box, then pull it down to your hotbar. Wash, rinse, repeat.

When time comes you don't need said weapon set anymore just pull it off your hotbar. I see no reson you could not have as many weapon sets as you have room then.

Maybe I don't have a clue, but I can't imagine this would be THAT tough to code and the the Dev's wouldn't have to hear people like me whine and moan about weapon sets any longer.

I've only ever filled my weapon sets on my ranger, but I usually don't include my muckbane in my sets, just toss it on the hot bar most of the time. If 7 slots isn't enough for a TWF build, that's a total of 14+ weapons, which in my opinion is just overkill!

7 was a token to say "hey look, we did something". I don't know a single TWF user who thinks it's enough though. We've just given up complaining.

how many of us really go thru all 7 sets in a single quest? insufficent slots and too many sets are not the reasons. they are just the excuses for not wanting to tailor the weapon sets to the quests......

Yep. No other class/character style has to do this. It's just TWFers and the price you pay to be one.

    Which is exactly the problem.

So on my THF I can just run into the quest, on my TWF I have to spend 10 minutes setting up?

And what about if i don't know every quest by heart and can't preset what I will need?

Barrign that, you can easily raise the weapon set limit to something like 32 and rather than trying to cram them into the main inventory page, you can create another tab page to manage them or a another little stand-alone form.

There should also be a way to create a spell shortcut with specific metamagics applied, i.e. Extended Haste shortcuts.
    Agreed.

Better yet, code it like the teleport/resist energy spells, you click on one hotbar slot and a window pops up with all your twf sets in it for you to choose from. if you want an individual slot for each you can drag them to your toolbar, or leave them in the pop up window.

Not a bad idea, leaves the "limit" up to the player's hotbar, rather than the inventory box.

Sometimes, it's the little things that take you by surprise, though. If it were somehow monumental, I doubt most players would favor it over, say monks, new content, spears, etc...

I recall one poster had a pretty good work around, though it might not be for everyone. His offhand weapons were relatively few, and remained consistent. so he laid out a set of right hand weapons on a hot bar. For example, he tended to keep his vertigo, backstabbing, shield, or whatever in the off hand, and just swap the primary weapon. Might not be for everyone, but it has potential.

It will never be enough. Someone will always feel a need for more. But, if it's simple and expedient, it does leave the "limit" up to the player, more than the coding behind the inventory box.
So, I hear that one day we may get Familiars...
