DDO Outfit system and barbershop

Well was cheacking out LOTRO website and came across this article http://lotro.turbine.com/article/487 on cosmetic changing the apperance of equipment and the barbershop that changes the apperence Avatar. Any chance this will be coming to DDO anytime soon?

since the share the same engine, it is certainly possible. Its appeance will only happen if the following is true

-its easy to port
-Turbine has dev cycles to accomodate it
-Turbine believes enough of the user base wants it

While I have no idea if this is portable or not, I would like to point out that the two games "share an engine" only to a limited degree. It is more accurate to say they are both based on the same engine. But LotRO's controls are quite different than DDO's and its a less texture intensive game. I have computers that can run LotRO playably that only get single digit (ie unplayable) fps in DDO.

There is no doubt quite a bit of cross compatibility, but I wouldn't expect it to be necessarily a simple port.

you know what would be great? if all these ideas that we've been asking for and begging for, and the developers finally put them into circulation, but want to "test it out in LOTRO first, to see how it pans out," would actually make it into DDO for a change! Bloody hell, you guys made this game first! Let us be the practice run every once in a while!

I'd feel kinda cheated if only LOTRO and not DDO had this system.

The fact that this was added to LoTR makes me optimistic, but on the Japanese site there was a post of dev responses to Japanese player questions last March where they asked about this. They said it would be really difficult and not to expect it. It looks like there's a chance, but don't get your hopes up too high.
