Default The ONLY Barbarian Build ya need. Look No Further

So many Barbarian Concepts, So few Builds necessary. THis is al you need for a sweet DPS Dwarven Barbarian..... If you want to go with Great Axes Instead of Dual Dwarven Axes you can drop DEX to 14 and Raise STR to 18 and WIS to 10. THis gives you a 30/42 STR and you can still fill out a +5 Mithral Breastplate with a +6 Dex Item. Of course, You'll want to swap the TWF for THF Feats as well. This also opens up your L15 Feat for Superior 2HF. You'll need a +2 Dex Tome in this build for Superior 2WF which you will be able to pick up at L18 (Or l16 is you want to push out Oversize 2WF)

Of course you can play with the enhancments a Bit, but most folks agree, this is the most tried and true way to build a Barbarian in DDO.

Also Note these Rage Numbers are with Readily available Rage Potions/Clickies and your inherant Barbarian Rage. Adding a Pair of Madstone Boots or Scorge Choker for even more impressive numbers!

I would agree you have boiled this one down to its base elements.

I cant take creidt for the build, this is simply what all the Barbarian experts seem to agree on when making recomendations on what to do with your barbarian. I've only played one barb in m y DDo time.. a Bard Splash build that looks great on paper, but when I got him to l10 He just wasnt fun anymore.

a Build very similar to this might be here somewhere... Maybe it was lost inthe great Purge.... But now this one is linked in my build index for easy retreival.

Still, it doesn't hurt to present the base line builds for people. Its a great place for anyone to start with and then make adjustments to suit their interests.

Lol.. why not build for sup twf... That is what all twf (fighters, barbarians, and rangers) are building for... otwf will not be nearly as useful especially for a someone like a dwarven barbarian using dwarven axes - they will not miss with power attack on. Start with a 17 dex - only way to go unless you feel your going to get a +3 dex tome...

Yeah you really need to start with 17 dex, drop Con and Wis a bit, +3 tomes are pretty hard to get, and even next Mod I can't imagine that being easy.

This build only needs a +2 Tome to take Superior 2WF. If you want to take Superior 2wf instead of Oversize, thats fine.

So simple and yet so effective. Really hard not to make one of these after seeing them in action. Just can't bring myself to add yet another Dwarf Barbarian to the server I s'pose.

Well for a slight twist Drow/Elf also work out pretty well with rapiers, especially even just +5 puncturing ones or dual deathnips. Hit points do not really hurt you you still can get enough with 12 starting Con on a Drow/Elf. Here is my dead simple and very similiar (not much any of these builds can vary by) Drow version:

Drow Male Neutral Good Barbarian 16

    Stats:
    Str 17 (40=17 +4 Levels +1 Tome +6 Item +10(Rage) +2(Rage Pot)
    Dex 17 (24=17 +2 Tome +1 Enh. +4 Item)
    Con 12 (32=12 +2 Tome +1 Enh. +6 Item +9(Rage) +2(Rage Pot)
    Int 10 10
    Wis 8 (14=8 +6 Item)
    Cha 11 (18=11 +1 Tome +6 Item)

    Skills:
    Jump
    UMD
    Balance
    Spot

    Feats:
    1-TWF
    3-Power Attack
    6-ITWF
    9-IC Piercing
    12-GTWF
    15-STWF

    HP:
    192(Levels) +20(Heroic) +10(Draconic) +30(GFL) +176(Con) +18(Helm)=446

    Enhancements:
    Drow Melee Attack II
    Drow Melee Damage II
    Drow Dex I
    Barbarian Power Rage IV
    Barbarian Damage Reduction Boost IV
    Barbarian Critical Rage II
    Barbarian Hardy Rage III
    Barbarian Willpower Rage III
    Barbarian Extra Rage II
    Barbarian Extended Rage II
    Barbarian Constitution I

    Edit:
Either Dwarf/Drow/Elf/Human could all be made quite effectively I think. I could not bring myself to actually roll this build as it is too 1-D for me and I hate having to rely on others. I cannot afford to keep this guy healed with pots which means you pretty much have to group with healers of some sort.

Con isn't a barbarians primary stat just for hitpoints. While you can get by like that, your still gonna suffer severely in rage legenth.

-6 con vs a Dwarf and only extend rage II = not nearly enough rage.

Yeah on the plus side you are piercing specced so can use dual deathnips or w-p rapiers which will outdamage Dwarf Axes. Plus your not the flavor of the month Dwarf Barbarian. Enhancements are easy to change if you want to add more extend rage you can probably drop Drow melee attack you probably won't even need it.

I am too lazy to calculate how long the Drow build I posted would be able to rage between shrines...

    Edit:
As posted you would get 7 rages per shrine, each rage would last 30s + (6*11) *1.5 = 144*7=1008s per shrine, so about 17 minutes is that right? Sounds like a long time maybe I screwed up the formula.

    Default pierce

if you can get access to deathnips then id go with piercing... best dmg ive seen from a melee is dual deathnips... also with piercing u can start collecting a badass set of rapiers... GL with that tho... so basically if you have the resources then go with pierce

human barb 14/2 is far better.

bring your str up 4 more, which is going to equal out with the dwarven axe bonuses, but can be applied to heavy picks, which anyone with a 1st grade education can tell you, 4 is bigger then 3. Also has space to get stunning blow which is autokill whenever it lands, which with a 46-56 str, is pretty often<DC 28-33 without an item or enhancments>

Nevermind with the enhancment points you save, you can dump into toughness enhancments and a toughness feat for just about the same hp.

Also has the rapier advantage, which is useful when your in something like devils. My human barb can solo that right up to the last room with banishing rapiers.

EXCUSE ME, but i dont see frenzied berserker anywhere.... why!!!!!!!! and i think you should at least get superior 2WF.....
I think H-ORC is the ultimate barb build. oops just realized this build was forever ago :P 100+ STR is now achievable and you saying that 60 STR is big.... more like base STR!

This is an awful attempt at trolling.
