    1. My favorite would have to be Ogres. I remember seeing my 1st Ogre and watching him take out half our party in one set of swings. It was really awe inspiring and fighting Ogres on low level un-twinked characters can be very challenging. I have basically liked them since I fought my first one because of the challenge at the time.

    2. I generally play between 2-6 hours a day.

    3. Getting past Jacoby (My first character was a Rogue). In all actuality the most difficult thing was getting the combat system down, learning where to place myself and adjusting to the flow of a fluid and highly mobile combat system.

    1. The Black Dragon in The Black Mausoleum. I would give all the plat in my bank for a chance to loot his horde

    2. Too often for my own good.

    3. Walking into a tavern with my dwarf barb and coming out with a pint of milk!?!? This game would be a lot more fun with a M rating sometimes

    1. Definitely beholders. Great animation all the way around. A break from the usual humanoid or four-legged critter type of monster.

    2. Average 3-4 hours daily.

    3. Overall, nothing stands out but I've played D&D and D&D-type games (PnP and video games) for a long time. Many different aspects were more difficult than I think they should be for people without a lot of experience. More newbie friendly gameplay manuals may help keep those types around long enough to enjoy the game instead of quitting in frustration.

1: Yark! Me so funny. Yark! Me so funny. Me Yark you long time.

2: Several hours daily...and let's just say real-life things don't get done quite as promply as they used to and leave it at that.

3: I started about four months ago, and the first several quests (before getting into a guild basically) went something like this:
Me: "Hey, where did everyone go?"
    Them: "Keep up."
Me: "Did I miss a shrine or a chest?"
    Them: Silence.
    Me: "I'm lost."
    Them: "We're done. FO."

Curses from kobold casters when there were no level 5 clerics... >.< Other than that, experience with MMO's, FPS's, and D&D made the game relatively easy to play.

    1. Fire/Ice Mephits. They're hard as nails, they stealth, and they regenerate.

    2. Daily

    3. I still struggle, as I have ever since I started this game, with controlling my character well. Falling off ramps, missing jumps, not being able to see where I'm going because there are walls, banners, or other obstacles between me and my character.

    Question 1
What is your favorite DDO creature and why?
Would have to say the mind flayers. They are still usually respected at high levels and pose a threat at any level if you cannot incapacitate them quickly.

    Question 2
How often do you play DDO?
    6-8 hours daily.

    Question 3
What was the most difficult aspect about DDO when you were a new player?
The learning curve. Meaning, how everything is put together...I.E. Dex bonus/To-hit/multipliers - what stacks and what doesn't.
Also, how to build my first character....Knowing what was important and what was useless.

As far as regular creatures are concerned it is a toss-up between the kobold and the troll. The Kobolds are just sort of cute and non-threatening (and who can not hear "Yark Yark Yark!" and not just respond with "Awe, look, he's angry! Isn't that just cute?"), and the Trolls are dumb as rocks but pretty tough so they make GREAT pets (not to mention that you don't have to heal them).

For singular creatures: Velah. From everything from the voice-work to the her entrance and presence, she is an amazing creature.

3 times a week for maybe 2-4 hours usually. Sometimes more.

Wow, a lot has changed since then... (I started when the game did) Besides the initial quest (getting the barrel of grog) being REALLY hard to solo at that time for a non-melee character, I thought that the game was easy to get into, but the only problem that I ran into was finding a consistent group of people to quest with. That changed when I joined Ordos Draconum.

    Question 1
What is your favorite DDO creature and why?

Giants, I remember the first time I went in Threnal with my lowbie rogue and saw what was running at me, I did exactly like the Deneith Mercenaries, talked to the guy to get back in House P.

    Question 2
How often do you play DDO?

Every day (5-6 hours) and more during weekends and holydays.

    Question 3
What was the most difficult aspect about DDO when you were a new player?

Jumping from a place to another, I remember in Sewer Rescue, jumping in the top to reach the arcane skeleton took me way more than one try to finally be able to make it with ease. In that quest, you need to jump a few times to reach a chest, it took me like 20 tries to be able to make it to the chest, and the person helping me at that moment was very patient. Later on, the same difficulty came back with the chest we have to jump to reach in Against the Demon Queen in the scorpions side.

    Question 1
What is your favorite DDO creature and why?
Beholders - They demand respect and are still feared by many - I'll never forget that first encounter with one in Caverns of Korromar (I think that's the one) R'zixx. Stoned my guy and then I spent three to five minutes watching the skeletons hack away at me while rest of party complained about wiping. I was thinking what about me? I'm being whittled like a twig slowly you guys got instantly killed?

    Question 2
How often do you play DDO?
Between 20-30 hours a week. I Should really be getting paid since it's almost a second job.

    Question 3
What was the most difficult aspect about DDO when you were a new player?
Remembering to turn on voice chat every time I rolled up a new character. That's still annoying.

    1. Demons, but I hope Devils take the top spot after mod 6. Almost all of my PnP experience culminated with fighting Demons and/or Devils, and it just feels right to bash them apart .

    2. Almost Daily. 2-4 hours weeknights, 4-8 hours weekends.

    3. Learning where everything was. If you could select a quest, then have the map icon flash, or a graphical overlay on the entrance light up, it would have helped quite a bit. Maybe have the quest compendium contain an option to display the quest location? Using the current map was a little tough, and some positive assurance that you were going to the right location would have helped me feel better about it.

    Question 1
What is your favorite DDO creature and why?
I'd definitely have to say that my favorite creature is the kobold. I have so many fond memories of killing my players with kobolds of all different CRs that it's difficult not to still like the little guys.

    Question 2
How often do you play DDO?
Since right around Module 5 came out, I haven't played at all, but that's mostly because I don't have time to go explore it. I'll probably get back into it when Module 6 gets released, and have two content updates to play around in.

    Question 3
What was the most difficult aspect about DDO when you were a new player?
    Logging off for the night.

Q1) In DDO, right now it has to be the dragons.

Q2) Way to much. probably average 3 hours a night just about. Really sad I know.

Q3) The changes in rules from PnP to MMO. Such as:
    * There is NO such thing as a ranged/touch attack. Wraiths are given an over bloated ability to hit to mimic this, and dex only means higher reflex saves and ac for casters.
    * Jump matters
    * Sorcs get jipped on their number of spells known
    * Feeblemind as a spell is useless as there are too many npc casters to make it worth while.
    * Multi acid spells of the same name do not stack
    * You can not beat open chests, beat dead traps, or any other intelligent work arounds you could do in PnP. You must use skills of OL, Search, and DD.
    * Just about all monsters have "hide in plain sight"/"invisibility at will" but we can not hide at all once seen or having done damage to an NPC at ANY point. (prove me wrong, I dare you. leash resetting does not count)
    * Archers in the game on average have better AC and more hit points than a warrior class.
    * Kobolds in the game desire cupcakes, oh yeah, and they hate you.
    * Negative levels means DOUBLE the penalties that you would face in PnP.
    * If you are a caster in an in game event that includes monsters, unless it is actually in a PvP area, you are screwed. (you aren't allowed to cast your damage spells afterall)
    * Gems are NOT worth their listed value.

    This week's question(s) are:

    Question 1
What is your favorite DDO creature and why?
    a) I would have to say Vampires. They can be easy (Orchard) or hard (Church & Cult) to kill so they scale well. They are also fairly resistant to magic so you actually have to be organized to kill the strong ones.

b)My second vote would go for kobolds. There is nothing that can cheer a group up like running accross and encampment of kobolds in a quest. Everyone just runs in like a maniac and beats their little heads in. It really warms the hear to watch. :-)

    Question 2
How often do you play DDO?
5-6 nights a week for total of about 25+ weekly

    Question 3
What was the most difficult aspect about DDO when you were a new player?
    a) I think getting over that initial financial hump. When you first start playing a couple thousand PP is a lot of money. Once you have a few capped toons it is nothing to have a couple million PP. The difference between (new or casual players) compaired to (heavy or long time players) is really extreme.

    b) I think a close 2nd is finding a good guild that you fit into. Some guild tools that allow guild officers to post listings or raid advertisements ingame would really help out with creating and maintaining strong guilds. Most causual players don't visit the forums and a good guild makes this game.

    1) Dragons are certainly the most awe inspiring.
    2) 4 nights a week
    3) Converting from 1st/2nd Ed rules to 3.5. Followed closely by finding groups the explored/experienced dungeons rather than finishing them quickly.
