    Default connection issues

    Just wondering if just me, but over the last few days to a week I have had trouble on Khyber server with regards to massive loss % of as high as 95% before game freezes and boots me from server. It does not even have to go that high before this happens were my receive/send drops to near zero or zero. All my buff stay on, I can hear party, monsters can still woop me down to death and so on, yet no interaction on my part. Is there so server issues we need to know of that is not being said? I am getting tired of logging on to have to REBOOT my pc every 15-20 min before I am in locked down mode/froze. My Pc has not changed to matter in that regards. I am just wondering if the game is worth trying to play if I have to reboot 3-5 times an hour now?

    Do a Tracert when you are having the problem

    XP

    Start>RUN

    Type "CMD" without quots

    when the CMD window opens

    Type "Tracert GLS.DDO.COM"

    If you see an * within the first couple of Hops then it might be your computer, firewall, Nic, router, or modem.

    If you get an * somewhere in the middle then it could be your connection meaning your ISP problem, not much you an do there except call your ISP and tell them you are haing connection issues and have them perform a line check.

    If you get an * towards the end then there is a problem with a node that might not have anything to do with your ISP just that your connection happens to go thru a bad hop, not much you can do except call your ISP again, explain that you are having connection problems


    Also go here and you can perform some test, to check your connection. This a very good site when having ISP issues and connection issue.

    the way im also having problems with packet loss, but im not losing connection as meine only goes up to about 25% for a few minutes. I have talked to my ISP numerous times and they are aware of a problem, and its getting better, slowly.

    My ISP was Insight, but was changed to Comcast.

    Hey,
    Thanks for the help, I did try the first one you suggested and it read 7-10 were timed out for whatever that means. I am sure it is my ISP more then likely. I am in Australia at the moment so I am sure it on this end that is the problem. I am spoiled with U.S. connection, I will have to just get use to it
