Power word blind

I know the lower level spell blindness can be shielded by a blindness ward item, but I would think the 7th level spell, i.e. "power word blind" spell would be able to bypass this immunity. Im a level 13 sorc coming up on 14 and I wanted to tinker with this spell, but do not feel like changing it out for 100k if it is not effective, especially in a pvp environment.

The reason i even bring this up is a guy was wearing a blindness immuity item and still got blinded in pvp. At the time I didnt think to ask, but I was hoping that perhaps the 7th level spell was the end result.

Someone tell me that immunity is immunity regardless and ill forget about picking up this spell.

Immunity is Immunity. Power Word Blind is of almost no use in PvP. The only people it works on... you could have killed 5 or 6 different ways without it.

Thanks, i figured as much, i was just looking for another alternative to mess with people in pvp.

I still catch people not protected from burning blood or power word blind in pvp - It's very fun spell to throw around, also contagion, I find spells like that keep the occupied and running around to give you the time you need to really mess them up bad, with spell like curse, and fatigue, feeblemind etc

It really is too bad the staff looks down upon status effect usage in pvp, it used to be really fun to leave people stuck in pvp for hours without killing them.. Of course it's rude and most of the time someone would kill them out of pity, but still don't get all ****y.. It's all in good fun, and soon someone will come to your rescue

yep - i was thinking the same thing - in pvp its about who gets to who first. Clerics are usually the ones im worried about - as such, i was looking for no save spells, and power word blind is one of them. Surprisingly, I use heighten and hypno alot in pvp and usually get a good amount of hits. I enervate and fatigue at that point (dont have curse - but am thinking on picking it up). But hypno is worhtless against a cleric. I have maximized, heighten and quicken now, and used mental toughness instead of empower because im doing more pve then pvp. But level 15 is coming out, so I assume ill get another feat and pick up empower. From there i believe scorching ray will be a good devastator on a clerics hp.

regardless - its more fun "toying" with a victim then to just kill them.. I feel like a sociopath! lmao!

Kargon would swear kargon was blinded while wearing silly blind ward queen goggamels by power word blind in pvp pit... that was while ago though.

Ill just have to experiment then when i get to that level - i just wanted to avoid 100k changeout is all. Im a poor caster as my other alts suck all my plat.
