I find this wrong. Because Most Weakening of Enfeebling weapons have a 17-20 crit range (with feat). Some people like me use Scimitars so 15-20. The Light mace is 20. Most people dont get the imp crit. So even with imp crit its 19-20. Bad Chance to lower dex significantly. compared to up to 6 str damage on a 25% bases.

Don't forget that Weakening deals 1 pt, too. It's 2-7 STR on a 20-30% basis! But, for me, Puncturing and Enfeebling roll LOTS of 1s.

I think MrCow's list was general rules based on monster stats. If you have an uber W/E Scimitar/Kukri combo that works for you, go with it! One thing of note is that low DEX mobs have lower DEX than low STR mobs have low STR. As a hypothetical: 30 STR, 10 DEX and 20 STR, 30 DEX. There's more STR all around, so even with better crit range than Mal/Bone, there's more damage to do before helpless status.

Dimz, most of those monster types in the higher end of the game have a large enough gap between STR and DEX that it really turns down to a gamble of luck to outpace one stat damage form with another. Also, even with a 15-20 crit range on enfeebling you will average 1.05 stat damage per hit (3.5 stat damage on crit * 30% chance to crit).

    For instance:

If it melees and is humanoid your best bet is DEX damage.
Gold Concord Fighter on Elite has 28 STR and 10 DEX.

If it is an outsider of large size, DEX damage.
Ice Flenser on normal has 25 STR and 14 DEX. On higher difficulties the STR rises and the DEX doesn't (29 STR/14 DEX on hard, 38 STR/14 DEX on elite).

If it is an outsider of feline type, its a toss-up.
Jarilith on normal have 33 STR, 29 DEX, 27 CON. No good physical stat damage stat there.

If it is a minotaur, giant, ogre, or troll, DEX damage.
Forsworn Hero on normal has 26 STR and 10 DEX.
Hill Giant on normal has 25 STR and 8 DEX.
A basic Ogre on normal has 21 STR and 8 DEX.

If it is an ooze, DEX damage.
A Black Pudding on normal has 17 STR and 1 DEX... and yes, I know oozes are immune to critical hits but I'll say it regardless.

If a monster has a DEX less than half of their STR then a simple maladroit weapon will make a monster helpless before a Weakening of Enfeebling with improved critical slashing (although, luck may prove otherwise). This does not pertain to crippling strike from rogues, however. They can pile on STR damage quite fast.
