    Default Static VI Takes Velah

I know that it is no big deal to 95% of the ddo world, but it was really cool for
    the 6 of us.

We took a group of 6 players that played in the Role Players Guild on Khyber. We
started new charcters on Argo. We got Drow favor then rolled up our Static VI
and set out to do all 6 person quests on elite at the appropriate level and all raid
    quests on normal.

So far, we have done all 1-6 quests on elite. We have all but two level 7's on elite.
We are leveling so fast that we had to skip a few to try the VoN Raid at level 9-11.
We failed at level 9. We had Velah down to 30% life at level 10, and last night we
took her down on normal difficulty. We made level 11 on our second attempt.

There are no vorpals, paralyzers, or any other twinked gear on these characters.

Some of you are asking what was the loot?

Hammer of life pulled by the wizard (me).... Gave it to the paladin.
Ruby encrusted Gaunlets pulled by the bard....Gave it to the cleric.
Tome of Wisdom +1 from the little chest by the Wizard.....Gave it to the Ranger/Rogue

I think we are going to do Tempest spine on Normal and Hard before we come back
to take down Velah on Hard.

The other NON-Static charcters that we play make up the Bushi'do Guild that will be
represented on all servers real soon. Right now just on Khyber and Argo.

Thanks for posting this, I've been wondering as my little static group of 5 approaches 10th level (at long last, been playing since release, but some of us just don't get to play very often), whether we'd ever be able to do the dragon raid as a group. This gives me hope that some day it will at least be worth trying. Maybe we should try Tempest Spine soon.....

The secret is out now!!! We used Zasha Olath to beat the dragon. shhhhhh
I had everyone fooled for a few minutes that we actually beat the dragon
    with 6 normal people...

    Gratz!

What do you think is the minimum for Von5?

Is it 6 for the switches?

My static grp is ftr, pal, rog, wiz and clr. Wondering if we 5 can pull it off on our own....

My group of 5 did Tempest N at 12th. All got blown off (except rogue but Sojek(?) regenerated) first time round. Got him second go.

Technically you can do with switches with two people. But where in the world are you going to find two people that can hit 25 str, 20 wis, and the ability to hit both switches and jump to shoot the target. It can be done though. With the group you posted above the fighter and cleric do one side and the rogue and pally do the other with the wiz helping where he can, likely shooting one sides target.

Switches can be done by one char. My cleric can hit, wisdom, and strength, then tumble back to hit range(just getting the tumble and fire lined up takes a few tries). My ranger can hit str, jump for range, and as soon as I drop a +6 wisdom item on him he will be able to hit wisdom.

Well....but for a static group looking at maybe doing VON or TS for its first raid (i.e., none of the members already have any raid gear), we kind of have to look at what's achievable with just stuff you can reasonably expect to find on the auction house (No +2 tomes, no +6 stat gear, no 32-point builds)

5 would be the minimum now that the ladder has been moved up. Unless you can pull more than one switch down below. I haven't seen it attempted, so I don't know if that is true.

    Default Update

Well the Static Group rode again last night. We decided to give the ol' Tempest Spine a try.
We opted to go for all of the marbles and try ELITE first.

We tried to make it hard by sending 2 people that had never pulled fire and ice to get them.
We also only had one person get batted into left field by Sor'jek.
We found a STR Tome in Fire and Ice, which was given to our Paladin.

    In the end:

We won with a 6 person level 11 group and got the Agression, Vandal, Ingenious Debilitation bonuses.
Completion time 48 minutes, which include putting kids to bed and other afk's.

    Default Another Update

We can now add the Titan on normal difficulty to our kill list.

    So far we have beat:

    Velah - normal
    Tempest Spine - elite
    Titan - normal

I know it is not very impressive for the power gamers, but this is our little
    static group.

    Consists of:

    Sinthara - Drow Cleric
    Mune - Drow Paladin
    Tsunamiki - Drow Fighter
    Ginafea - Drow Bard
    Karahnath - Drow Ranger/Rogue
    Rylven - Drow Wizard

    All level 11

The loot on the Titan run was the TITANIC DOCENT that went to our Drow Bard.
