Uhmm.....
Well....it's because it cheapens an immunity if there is no reson to have it.
We have no medusa'a in DDO.
I don't think we currently have any enemy casters that even try to use FtS.
And then they come up with this new power and decide that they want it to work on WF, so they rename it something else just so it will work on WF and call it justified.
Currently Prot frm Evil is 99% worthless in DDO, becaues it does not work on anything used in this game (the mental immunity part).
The See Invisibility spell is even more useless. Everything just hides in plain sight and does not use invisibility.
Why have a spell, when nothing is Invisible? it doesn't even work on Invisible Stalkers if I remember right.
So they just ight as well remove the WF immunity since it serves no purpose in this game.
IMO.

Those are the only ones I currently have logged, but there should be more lurking around.
Earth Elemental Petrification has been around since Module 3, in case you might like the history of when it came to be (Maruad the Mines, Elder Earth Elemental).Originally Posted by Talon Moonshadow
I can at least attest that True Seeing will make an Invisible Stalker visible. Also, it is partly humorous that the drow casters in Searing Heights do cast invisibility as an opening spell.Originally Posted by Talon Moonshadow

Doh!
Shows how much I pay attention.
I just didn't remember being turned to stone more than a couple times until Mod 6.
Knew about elder beholders though.......
First time being turned to stoned was in Invaders.
I had 10 neg lvls, Cursed, turned to Stone and telekinesed til my nose was in a corner........the group finished the quest, looted the chest.....and I was really worried that this was a permanent condition.....
One of the few times I've begged for help in DDO.

you all must bow down before your warforged masters

ok i may be wrong about this but..the "fts" aka petrification effect that the earth eles and stone scorps do sounds like it would be a will save but thats just me. i mean think about the word "petrify" to become immobile cause of fear....isn't the spell cause fear a will save so therefore making pretrification a will save effect. like i said i could be wrong but thats what i think. if you could kick check your will save im sure yours is high but thats the only thing i can come up with that sounds reasonable.

Yup eles do that sometimes. Waiting for fire elementals to get flesh to fire so i can see the human torch =P
Elder elementals hit you with Petrify rarely, not flesh to stone. This accounts for why it affects warforged.

Naw bro. It's not being " paralyzed with fear ", it's actually a natural process in which organic matter ( in this case wood ) is replaced by minerals.
Like what happens to dinosaur bones after millions of years. Fossils aren't actually bones anymore. They are rocks that have the shape of the bones that formed them.
