I've been FTS by an elemental!!!! AAAGHHHH :(

Hello All,

I was just curious of how many people have been Flesh to Stone by an earth elemental.....
I was up in the puzzle room on the reaver raid yesterday and failed the raid because the elemental turned me to stone...
It was very strange and I have asked several people and they have never heard of such thing.
Has anyone experienced anything like that anywhere else?
Oh well.... next time I'll be taking down the earth before the fire/air... lol
The strange thing is that I rolled 18+10 against FTS and failed.... How was it calculated when my fort save is 19 and not 10??
Something new I've learned.... Always good to learn something new.

No, the earth elementals in the Reaver puzzle room do in fact hit you with Flesh to Stone. This happens VERY rarely and has happened to me on all three difficulties and even on a warforged. It is quite annoying...

I might have had it happen to me maybe 5-7 times at most and i've run the reaver a BUNCH of times

Edit: It also seems to be a mellee attack and not a ranged attack, unless it's a coincidence that every time it happened to me it was after getting hit physically. Also, one of my characters to which this happened has a very high reflex save so I doubt it is reflex-based.

odd so its not really flesh to stone its some super uber high level earth elemental spell that affect everything and lowers your saves! sounds like temple of vol cheese to me.....

I saw it happen somewhere once. In the Vale I think.

And it was mentioned in Mod 7 release notes I believe.

I think only the super duper elder earth ellies can do it, and it is supposed to work on WF (according to the devs, but I think they are wrong and should change it)

The release notes mentioned renaming it to something other then FtS to not confuse WF who are immune to FtS.

Cheap if you ask me.

It's petrification, which is why it effects WF as well.

If it does have a save I would think it is fortitude.

There is a definite difference between earthgrab, and flesh to stone.


Yes the higher level earth elementals can flesh to stone. I've seen it a couple of times.
But I am not sure about the save.

I've had this happen to me before and the part that was confusing is that I was a Warforged.

I guess the ability is now called petrification rather then flesh to stone to keep down on forged confusion. Seems a bit weak.

Besides, I did read the log and it said you were hit by flesh to stone by an earth elemental.
Kick has an even higher reflex save... I believe it's 25.... so it was not a reflex either... I just can't come up with the 10...

That is awesome, BTW. I like when higher level versions get different powers rather than just hit harder.
