    Default one more thought

If you stick with healing or casting cleric, strongly consider fearsome fullplate.

Ahh, you are right of course Mad! I keep forgetting my cleric has an accidental level of fighter.

Glad to see you are having fun!

In my experience there are three things a cleric can focus on:

    1) Healing
    2) Attack spells
    3) Melee Combat

Your original stats would serve you well for doing both 1 and 2, as a high Wisdom makes your spells hard to resist and gives you lots of SP for additional healing.

If you wish to specialise in melee combat (WARNING - this build is tough to play - i'd recommend waiting till you have played a character to at least level 8-10 first), you can try a battle cleric build, where you prioritise Strength, put a moderate amount of focus on both Constitution and Wisdom, and have relatively low Dexterity, Intelligence and Charisma. These characters usually take one level of fighter and the rest Cleric.
    I don't have a zerging problem.

    I'm zerging. That's YOUR problem.

Tomes permanently boost your stats. You can find +1 tomes in quests L10 or higher (includes L9 quest on Hard and L8 quest on Elite). Or, you can buy them from other players via the Auction House.

Tomes give an Inherent bonus to a stat, and are always on once used.

BTW: Pretty much everything that increases a stat of some kind has a Name, such as Enhancement, Deflection, Morale, and so forth. If two or more items give the same Named bonus to the same stat, the bonuses won't stack. It will simply use the higher of the two.

The three exceptions are Dodge and Circumstance bonuses, as well as all Unnamed bonuses.

This is important to keep in mind when picking new items to wear, and spells to use.

And to prevent confusion: Enhancement bonuses apply to the Items themselves, with the exception of most Natural Armor items, which grant Enhancement bonuses to your Natural Armor Class.
